  • Not for every animal
Just like in humans, animals tend to not tolerate a certain medication. For my cat, that was Clavamox. She was treated for bacteria in her urine. After at least 3 doses were given, my cat had come down with a case of chronic diarrhea. She literally couldn't make it to the litter box. Other than the bacteria in the urine, the blood test came back normal. So nothing else was causing this unusual behavior. Of course, I no longer gave her the medication and the diarrhea has gradually eased. Not to mention on top of all of this she did not want to eat much. I am not saying this is a bad drug, I am saying it is not for every animal and to be mindful of your animals behaviors. Drugs do cause side affects in animals and in humans a like. by on 03/07/2016
