Rated 1 out of 5by Sick to stomachI gave Nexguard to my Great Dane mix for the first time last month. Within 15 minutes she was throwing up all over the house. Needless to say, she went without flea/tick protection for the month. We tried it again this month to make sure it was the Nexguard and the same thing. Within 15 minutes she was throwing up all over again. My former vet used Bravecto and she had no issues. We have moved and my new vet doesn't offer Bravecto. I ordered the Bravecto from here today so if my vet doesn't let them fill the script we will be looking for a new vet. 06/25/2017
Rated 5 out of 5by Nexgard Purchase PriceThis is a good, but expensive med. I prefer it to Frontline for several reasons. HOWEVER, even you sale price is higher than what my local vet charges and I can get a $50 rebate if I buy 12 months of this and Heartgard. So, you need to look at your pricing structure. 02/26/2017
Rated 4 out of 5by Good product so far..I've used this for about 2 years now and it seems to be working. The only fly in the ointment is the repeated prescription fees! Why is this prescription only? My vet happily writes out the script with no questions about my dog's health, yet the fees are £12+ per 6 month treatment! Utterly ridiculous and purely a money making scheme! I know it's not the fault of the maker nor is it only my vet but this is so stupid! If my vet completed a series of checks due to my dog using Nexgard I would understand the prescription requirement but 2 years and not one query about it! There are some spot on products that require no prescriptions and cause serious side effects so this is really beyond me and makes it less of a good deal to buy elsewhere. My g=vet charges £51 for 6 tabs which is extortionate! 01/31/2017
Rated 1 out of 5by Caused severe itching in my Golden Retriever. This caused severe itching in my Golden Retriever. Vet blamed it on allergies, but the allergy was to Nexguard. When we discontinued the Nexguard, the itching went away. No more itching. 08/20/2016
Rated 4 out of 5by Love the product, works greatLove it, so does our dog, Tulip. She has been on them with vet prescription for 5 months. The 1st time we gave it to her, we saw a few fleas on her. I expected to have to have whole house fumigated, as other dogs we've had got this problem, and we used topical treatment, which worked but irritated dog's skin, dog didn't like it. We did have to fumigate house those times as well. I was very surprised by the nexguard. Dog took it, likes the taste too. The fleas on the dog fell off, and we did give her a regular shampoo bath. The house does not have any fleas, and we did not fumigate. I think maybe because we caught it early. The nexguard apparantly killed the eggs as well as fleas on dog, and there were not very many on her, but I know from previous experience they multiply very quickly. So, very happy with product. And it's good it's available by prescription so vet can see if it's causing problems. 08/01/2016
Rated 1 out of 5by Bad Results-Even Worse ManufacturerLast year, we bought NexGard for our Great Danes. Within 24 hours, we saw fleas jumping off the dogs. So, this year, we bought it again. A month later, and the fleas are not the least bit disturbed by the NexGard! Called the manufacturer, and was lied to, and told that they had not recv'd ANY calls about the product not working. I know better, because my vet also called them. Then they tried blaming the problem on us, our house, our yard, anything but their product. Nonsense. Will NEVER buy their product again, just because the way they lied and handled the problem. I can understand a manufacturer sometimes produces a bad batch of a product, and things happen. But, to outright lie, try to shift blame, and not back up their product is inexcusable! Especially when they gouge people on price like they do! NEVER again! 07/29/2016
Rated 5 out of 5by Excellent product I've been using this product for years and my dog loves them. I've never had any trouble getting her to take it out of my hand. I used to get this from my Vet but he's gone up in price so I started looking around. This would have been a deal except for the fee I had to pay to PetCare Plus. Hopefully, this was a one-time fee so that it becomes cost effective. Still all in all it's a great deal. 06/22/2016
Rated 5 out of 5by This is so much easier and effective than the topical. I chose this product over the topical because my dog has a lot of fur and it was very difficult to apply. We have not seen any fleas on him and his coat is beautiful. 06/21/2016
