This drug is not recommended for pets with severe liver disease, lupus, blood abnormalities, a history of cardiac output failure, or pets with low sodium levels. Use with caution in pregnant or nursing pets, and if your pet has had an allergic reaction to ACE inhibitors.
Common side effects include loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, collapse, increased thirst, changes in urination, slow heart rate, and weak pulse. Contact your vet if side effects occur.
Possible drug interactions include spironolactone, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, diuretics, and vasodilators.
