The only way to pill a cat or dog!
VERIFIED PURCHASER

I've been using them for years. So easy, so effective. Pets have no idea they're taking medicine.

Perfect
VERIFIED PURCHASER

Iโ€™ve tried many different types and finally found these and for the smaller pill they can broken in half and save half for later. They mold perfectly around any type of pill. Completely covering the pill with a little effort to pressing it around the pill. I love these. I hope they donโ€™t stop making it.

Rx lifesaver
VERIFIED PURCHASER

Great way to get your felines to take pills (until they outsmart you). Small enough to eat and large enough to accommodate most pills. Flavor options keep the cats interested!

Cat likes taste but still eats around pill
VERIFIED PURCHASER

My cat enjoys the taste of these, but she still eats around the pill. The overall size of the pocket is pretty large for a cat to swallow whole.

My Cat Loves These!
VERIFIED PURCHASER

These pill pockets are my cats absolute favorite treats, and she is super super picky. We initially got them to use as intended, but my vet warned me the pill my cat needed is very bitter, and this may cause a problem. (She was right.) First, if you are using as a pill pocket, give your cat a couple of these throughout 2-3 days without pills first. Adding the pill is very easy, this treat is almost like a meaty version of play dough. If you have a very large pill, consider cutting it in half if you can and using 2 pockets. If you have the same issue as I did with a bitter pill, this is worth a try, but if it doesnโ€™t work, pop the pill in the back of your cats throat, blow in her face to make her swallow, and just use these as rewards for AFTER the pill;-)

Greenies Pill Pocket for Cat

My cat needs medicine everyday. The pocket is a very convenient way to give medicine to my cat. At least I know he took all the dosage.

Wouldn't be able to pill my cat without these
VERIFIED PURCHASER

My cat is fussy. To say that it is an ordeal for everyone involved to pill her is an understatement. I have to pill her twice everyday for the rest of her life. Greenies Pill Pockets saved us a LOT of trouble. The pill fits in perfectly, she enjoys the taste and they are affordable enough that I don't have to worry too much about the taste. Well worth the $$

Tasty to my cat
VERIFIED PURCHASER

My cat loves to take pills with these pill pockets. Unfortunately, the capsule his chemotherapy comes in is too big for the pill pocket. Small pills work best in these for my cat.

Can won't eat them-even empty

I have two cats-one will eat anything, doesn't need meds. The other is picky and of course he needs meds and won't even eat the Pill Pockets empry. He doesn't like chicken or salmon flavor even in foods. Please make a fish flavor one. Why do dogs get 4 varieties and cats only get 2. Everyone knows dogs will eat ANYTHING, even cat poop.

C
She LOVES them!

I was struggling so much getting my cat to take her medication - tried hiding it in wet food, she would eat around it and spit the pill out every time. I couldn't believe how incredibly easy it was as soon as someone told me about Pill Pockets! She LOVES them, and immediately comes running now when she hears me take out the bag. My other cat is so jealous, I have to give her an empty one too!

Cat will take medicine

Disguised as a treat, these pill pockets are a great idea. Place pill or powder in opening and pinch shut. My cat gobbles the treat right up. Easy.

Pill Pockets changed our lives!

We have a cat who is on medication (probably for the rest of her life) for asthma. She would fight us daily, requiring me to hold her down while my girlfriend would administer the pill. We tried the Pill Pockets and to say that it changed out lives is an understatement. No more fighting, she hears the pill bottle and begs for it now! Thank you, thank you!

A first!

I have tried giving my finicky feline nearly every treat on the market. I have been searching for something to counteract her hairball issue. Tried Greenies for hairball control and Hooray! She's happily munching away. Thanks Greenies.

New Formula??? Noooo!!!!!!

Why oh why did you change the formula for Feline Chicken Pill Pockets???   They no longer mold around he pill.  They crumble into, well, crumbs!  And my cat can sniff out the pill and leave it behind.  PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMULA!!  I don't know how else I'm going to get pills into my hyperthyroid cat twice a day.

Perfect solution for a smart dog!

Our foster dog has to get meds twice a day. I tried everything to hide them - cheese, hot dogs, other dog treats. He always managed to eat the treat and not the pill.  A friend used Pill Pockets for her cat and recommended them. I use the capsule sized ones and am able to give him all his pills in one bite. Fantastic! (One slight complaint - the peanut butter ones are drier and aren't as easy to pinch closed. We are sticking to the smoke flavor.)

YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!

One pill pocket is pretty big for a cat. You will need to make 5 little balls out of one pill pocket and placel the pill in one of them. Place all 5 balls in front of  your cat and your cat will love you even more! She enjoys the chicken flavor a lot!

Dog Allergy Formula - An Alternative For Cat

My cat pills very well, but finally just said no after two years of taking an extremely bitter antibiotic pill, which she takes for her IBD. And for some dumb reason, the Greenies people stopped making the feline duck/pea formula. Yes, cats have allergies, too! So I tried the dog allergy formula, and it worked fine. Nothing crumbly, very pliable, no grain, and my cat, who HATES cat treats, actually ate them. A miracle. So if you need an alternative for your allergic cat, try the dog formula. The only difference is that the dog formula doesn't have Taurine (which my cat already gets from her cat food) and it has smoke flavor, which the cat formula does not have.

Dried out and falling apart.

I have only been using your pill pockets for a couple of months now. At first they were great and made a huge difference in my cat's life. His pills mean the difference between life and death, and I would rather he take them in a positive way, rather than me forcing him to swallow them. At first, the pill pockets were moist and he loved them. But I have had several occasions now where I have purchased the pill pockets and they are dried out and when he tries to eat them they fall apart and he doesn't like the way they taste. This isn't the fault of the distributors as I have purchased them from several different places. What is wrong with your pill pockets? Please fix them!

Greenies work

I adopted a Miniature Pinscher in June with terrible plaque and bad doggie breath, it is now mid-August and his teeth are white and no more terrible breath. All plaque is gone. Good produce; saved me 500 for a teeth cleaning. Just one a day, both my dogs enjoy them.

Where did the duck and pea go?

Please please bring back the duck and pea!  My cat loved this flavor.  He's allergic to fish and hates the chicken, pill time has gone back to being a nightmare!  Everyone I've talked to misses that flavor, and people with cats with food allergies don't have other choices.

Love them

My cat LOVES the salmon flavored pockets. Makes it so easy to give home his pills. Never discontinue this flavor. Just wish there was more in the package so I didn't have to buy more every 3 weeks.

Cat got tired of them

My cat takes thyroid pills and for a couple of years he ate these pill pockets right away.  Now he got tired of them and won't eat them.  Also they seem like they don't wrap as well or they are a little dry.  They should change back to how they were before and get a couple more flavors too.

Smaller packages available?

I need to give my cat a pill every day. The pill pockets really work until about halfway or 2/3 through the package of pill pockets. The package does not close well and the pill pockets tend to dry out and then my cat refuses to eat them. Is there any way you could package in smaller amounts so the pill pockets stay fresher longer? Great product otherwise.

Crumbling pill pockets

Pill pockets used to be soft and work like a charm, but now they crumble right out of the package (that has an expiration date months into the future). I have found too many unswallowed pills from crumbling pockets to recommend this product.

READ THIS IF YOU WANT YOUR CAT TO EAT THEM!

If your cat wonâโ‚ฌโ„ขt eat them, try this trick - My cat is not attracted to the flavor of the pill pockets, but because they are soft like play-doh, I crush my catâโ‚ฌโ„ขs favorite hard treats and use the crumbs to coat the pill pocket and trick my cat into thinking he is eating his favorite treat. It works! This is how you do it: 1) Crush a few of your catâโ‚ฌโ„ขs favorite hard treats (mine likes Whiskaâโ‚ฌโ„ขs Temptations Chicken Flavor treats) and put the crumbs in a small cup; 2) At the same time, cover the pill thoroughly with the pill pocket; 3) Roll the pill pocket containing the pill in the cup with the treat crumbs. You will have to press it a bit, while you are rolling it in there. However you do it, just cover the pill pocket as best as you can; 4) Put it on a little plate and watch your cat smell it and eat it! I give the treat/pill pocket to him every day around the same time and on the same plate, so now he naturally comes to the kitchen and waits for me while I prepare it.I really hope this helps you out. Itâโ‚ฌโ„ขs made my life much simpler and wanted to share this trick!

Disappointing

I'm not sure what size capsules are supposed to fit in these, but the ones prescribed for my cat didn't fit. The first one I put in with two pill pockets (one on each side, with a couple crumbled as I tried to follow the nonsensical instructions), and she ate it. The second time I crumbled about three just trying to put the capsule in. Regardless she chewed through it, but ate the pill on its own. Now she won't touch them. Bad product.

Pill Pockets Are Worthless

I've used several packages of salmon flavored pill pockets with great success.  My cat ate them right up. Half a pocket covered her small pill. Now they just just crumble and don't stick to the pill at all.  What's the deal?

Salmon pill pockets

I began using the Salmon and Chicken flavored pill pockets about a year ago when my mother cat first developed a thyroid condition and I was less than successful at getting pills into her.  Recently here daughter was plighted with this same dilemma and I've included her in the pill pocket routine.  A few weeks ago I replenished my supple with both the chicken and salmon flavors, but have found the salmon to be extremely uncooperative.  The pockets practically crumble in my hands and will not hold the pills at all.  I don't know if this was just a bad batch, but the chicken flavors seem to be just fine. I probably will not purchase any more of the salmon pockets.

Used to be great!

These used to be awesome for giving pills to cats.  We have used them for both of our cats historically and they made giving pills a breeze.  Something seems to have changed in the way they are made.  They are super dry making them impossible to mild around pills.
