Is Grain Free Bad for Dogs?

The removal of grains from the food gets replaced with different ingredients such as sweet potatoes, lentils, and peas. The quantity of carbohydrates increases as compared to food that is not grain-free. Hence the issue with grain-free food along with these added ingredients is not only about DCM. It is related to excessive soluble carbohydrates. These excessive soluble carbs are leading to different problems in pups. Carbohydrate is necessary to gain energy. But too much of it leads to obesity, energy loss, and inappropriate bacteria in the belly. Grain-Free food sometimes can harm the health of your dog.

Is the Taste of the Wild Better Than Blue Buffalo?

Taste of Wild has an advantage over Blue Buffalo in many areas. Though both of them use the best quality ingredients, Taste of Wild uses hormone-free and antibiotic meat from well-known sources. Blue Buffalo had several recalls that were a concern to most of the pup owners. Both these brands have not called back their product for three years now. One distinctive advantage with Blue Buffalo is about selection. If you are giving a special diet to your pup, the specialty option offered by Blue Buffalo will be a good choice. Taste of the Wild claims that their product is the best for your pupโ€™s complete dietary requirements.

What Grains Should Dogs Avoid?

You should not give any grains if your dog is allergic. The grain-free dog food might increase the carbohydrate level in the food, causing dilated cardiomyopathy and plumpness. You should always consult a vet specialist to plan a proper diet for your dog. A portion of dog food needs to be without wheat, corn, and soy. An appropriate amount of various nutrients in the grain will keep your dog risk-free from any disease. Any wrong grain that you give without proper research can harm your dog and its overall health.

9 Year Old Hounds Favorite

This is our 9 Year Old Hounds Favorite food sheโ€™s ever ate. Weโ€™re also able to feed our other stomach sensitive (canโ€™t have chicken meal or any by product) this without him getting the runs. Finally a food we can feel good about giving our pets.
