Your Guide to Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hydrolyzed Protein in Gel Canned Dog Food

What Is Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hydrolyzed Protein in Gel Canned Dog Food?

Has your dog been itching and scratching themselves silly? Do they get chronic ear infections all year? It sounds like your dog has food sensitivities, which can make feeding your dog nutritionally complete food absolutely difficult.

Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Canned Dog Food is made for dogs like your's. This is a nutritionally complete diet that you can give to your food-sensitive dog without triggering any allergies for a happy, healthy pet with a full tummy!

What Are Food Sensitivities in Dogs?

When your dog has food sensitivities, it means that their body is reacting to some component in their diet. This allergic reaction manifests as scratching, skin issues, and stomach problems. Protein is a common food allergy in dogs. Common allergy triggers include beef, chicken, and lamb.

Allergic dogs will develop some specific symptoms, and you can keep an eye out for them. Scratching and itching to the point of injury is a common symptom. Your dog will scratch themselves sore, and their skin will appear inflamed and red. Patches of fur might fall out due to constant itching and grooming.

If you examine their paws, they might appear red and irritated. Your dog might chew on their feet a lot as well. Their groin area, face, and stomach areas might have a rash or even saliva stains. Your dog might also suffer from vomiting and diarrhea after eating food, as their body rejects the ingredients that disrupt their system.

Food allergies are very painful for your dog. The skin rashes leave them in discomfort all over their bodies. Their skin gets dehydrated, and the itching can leave open wounds. Chronic ear infections can become a severe problem if they keep recurring and can lead to your dog becoming deaf.

If vomiting occurs too often, it can damage your dog's trachea and esophagus. Diarrhea means that food is passing quickly out of your dog's system. Your dog can suffer from malnutrition and nutritional deficiencies, which can severely impact their quality of life and longevity.

How Does Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hydrolyzed Protein in Gel Canned Dog Food Help?

Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Canned Dog Food is made with hydrolyzed proteins. This means that if your dog is allergic to proteins, Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Canned Dog Food will not trigger their allergies! The hydrolyzation process breaks the protein chains down into smaller blocks of amino acids.

This tricks your dog's immune system into thinking these blocks aren't proteins, and thus, your dog is kept safe from an allergic reaction. Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Canned Dog Food has added omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids from fish oil that rehydrate your dog's dehydrated skin.

It also soothes and nourishes their coat so that any lost fur grows back just like new. Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Canned Dog Food also has added soluble and insoluble fibers that combat tummy upsets and soothes your dog's digestive system.

Finally, Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Canned Dog Food is made using very strict manufacturing processes. This ensures that there is no cross-contamination, and no allergy triggers are included in the kibble by mistake.

S
Highly allergic dog
VERIFIED PURCHASER

My rescue pup, Maybelline, was found with cuts and sores all over her, and it was discovered she was allergic to all things environmental and nutritional. When I got her, my vet and I started her on this food and will eventually start testing other proteins to find more for her but, fortunately, in the meantime, she loves this stuff. Her lesions have cleared up so, obviously, this is what it says it is and contains zero allergens for a dog like mine. She is happy and much more comfortable. Pics are before and some afters

B
Great food for dogs with protein allergies
VERIFIED PURCHASER

Our rescue dog had terrible flaking, redness and fur loss when we brought her home. After much testing, the vet decided she has food allergies. Chicken causes her to break out in hives! We have no idea how many other proteins that may cause allergies. Royal Canin hydrolyzed protein food has kept her skin clear and the inflammation down for over a year now and her fur has even grown back with anti fungal shampoos used weekly. No more hives.
