Chronic Pancreatitis- this really helps

Our Cairn is 13.5 and was diagnosed with chronic Pancreatitis by Ultrasound after we did full blood panel. Our Vet suggested this food - and his episodes of throwing up have completely stopped and he seems to feel better as well. I feed him the canned version in the p.m. the dry food in the a.m. I'm very happy to see my pooch feel better. Great product!

Amazing product, a little pricey but worth it

My golden had stomach problems from the start, had him on so many different foods and different proteins. This is the only product that worked for our dog. The price is very high and there is no reward program which is unfortunate but when you want a healthy dog, you have to do what's best.

Thank you!

My almost 14 year old bichon has been a struggling with eating since her diabetes diagnosis! She had a bad case of pancreatitis and while hospitalized they started her on thei product! In the past 7 months we have struggled to find something that she would eat for more than 2 days! But since giving her this she is always ready to eat! We actually had to move the bag of food to the garage because she tries to get into it during the day!! Thank you!!!

If Nemo is happy, I am happy

My lab Nemo had a bout of pancreatitis. He was put on the ID low fat kibble and canned low fat chicken stew. He loves both !!! In this case, food is medicine, as his lab values that were 3 x normal came back to normal on diet alone. Amazing!!! He will remain on this diet and I am so happy that he loves eating something that has proven to be so beneficial.

B
Boston Terrier Service Dog Terrible Tummy Troubles

About 3 years ago I got a 9 month old Boston Terrier puppy from my vet. He gave me the Science Diet food they had been feeding her since she came under his care. Everything was fine until she was about a year old. All of a sudden she was vomiting constantly and had severe diahrrhea. It was so bad she lost 3 pounds and just couldn't even keep white rice down. I was planning on training her as a service dog but I was afraid she was not going to live. I rushed her to the vets and he did blood work, xrays, and other tests. He didn't find any blockages but he did say he'd never seen a dog with so much intestinal inflammation before. He suggested I try the Science Diet I/d because that's what he fed his Boston Terrier. I started her slowly and within a week her stools were improving and the vomiting had stopped. Within 2 weeks everything was fine and she started putting on weight. I know that Science Diet isn't the most popular dog food on the market these days. Everyone is into raw, no thank you and all natural and so on. But I'm convinced that Science Diet saved her life and I don't care how much it costs, she will always be on it. When you have a service dog, they need to be in tip-top shape at all times. I will spend whatever I need to, to make sure she is healthy and happy because she's my constant companion and I rely on her 24/7.

Love the calming, soothing effect of Ginger!
VERIFIED PURCHASER

We have always been pleased with the Hills Prescription product line, but we are especially happy with the Lowfat i/d dry dog food. The ginger really helped calm my dog's upset stomach. This food has also kept my dog's urinary crystals at bay. I wish their was a tad bit more potassium citrate though. The only down side is that some bags seem to have less ginger than other bags. The ginger makes this dog food ideal for tummy troubles.

Good for dog, cannot get coupons to use and it is expensive

While my dog is doing very well on this and will remain on it for life I am very unhappy with being unable to consistently get coupons to help with the cost. Several times have been unable to print and as only one a day can be printed I am shut out. i realize there are dishonest people out there but they are costing me when I buy the now big bag (thank you for larger size for my 80 pound dog) and the canned food. If I were to recommend this excellent food to someone I would caution them that coupons aren't always in the picture. Would welcome suggestions on this coupon issue.

Keeps my pup happy and healthy

Our pup was having digestive issues - mainly vomiting. Once we made the switch, with the vet's advice, she's been great on the I/D low fat dry food. She used to be a very picky eater - but now she eats the dry food readily.

Expensive but my dog loves it

my schnauzer was prescribed the I/d low fat dry food & he loves it! It's extremely costly though & overpriced & I wish more coupons were offered but it's medically necessary & like I said my schnauzer loves it!

NO MORE TUMMY PROBLEMS

WE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL PRODUCTS FOR OUR DOGS DIGESTIONAL ISSUES, BOTH OVER THE COUNTER AND PRESCRIPTION, AND HILL SCIENCE IS BY FAR THE BEST PRODUCT WE HAVE USED. BOTH OF OUR DOGS HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH DIARRHEA/CONSTIPATION AND OCCASIONAL VOMITING, THESE PROBLEMS ARE VIRTUALLY GONE ON THE ID KIBBLE AND WET. THESE PRODUCTS WERE RECOMENDED BY OUR VET, SO WE FELT CONFIDENT INITIALLY TRYING THEM.

Terrific!!!!!!!

This product saved my dogs life. He has protein losing enteropathy and couldnt eat anything at all. With some good medical care and this food he is back to his old self. He loves the taste of it too. We also use c/d for my pug who has kidney issues, both are terrific products.

This stuff is amazing!

As a veterinary technician, friends, family, and clients come to us for advice and trust our opinions. When Lady, my sisters 11yr old pit bull mix) was having digestive issues we recommended to try Hills I/d. Now almost two years later Lady is doing great. We attribute her happiness and good health to her diet. This stuff is amazing!
