Is a Prescription Required for Bravecto?
Answer

Yes, a prescription is required for the Bravecto Topical for dogs. This Bravecto Topical Solution for dogs is a flea and tick medication. It provides tick protection and kills adult fleas. Like many other medications that deal with flea and tick infestations, the Bravecto Topical dog medication is also prescription-only. You cannot buy these flea meds off the counter. The Bravecto Liquid for dogs is only sold to the customers if they can show a valid prescription from a licensed vet.

Which Is Better Bravecto or Frontline?
Answer

Bravecto is a better flea and tick medication compared to Frontline as it has higher efficacy. The active ingredient in each of these drugs is different. However, they are both equally effective in killing fleas and ticks. The Bravecto Topical medication, however, is more effective for treating dogs between the second and fourth week of administration. Eventually, both Bravecto and Frontline reach 100 percent efficacy by the twelfth week.

What Are the Side Effects of Bravecto for Dogs?
Answer

Like all other pet medications, Bravecto too has a few side effects. These side effects include diarrhea and vomiting. It also includes a loss in appetite, which further leads to a loss in weight and lethargy. You might also notice hair loss and mild rash on your dogs. Dogs with sensitive stomachs are also likely to feel a bit uneasy with the topical flea meds. There might even be some allergic reaction to the Bravecto Topical solution for dogs. These reactions will show signs like hives, swelling of the dog's face, scratching, sudden cases of diarrhea and/or vomiting, cold limbs, pale gums, or coma. Get in touch with your vet if you notice any of the side effects or signs of allergic reaction in your dog. You also have to maintain caution on your end as well. You should not use Bravecto in dogs that weigh less than 4.4 pounds and are less than six months old. The medication has also been certified as safe for use in breeding, pregnant, and lactating dogs.

Is Bravecto Worth the Money?
Answer

Can Dogs Still Get Fleas With Bravecto?
Answer

What Can I Use Instead of Bravecto?
Answer

You can use a Seresto collar instead of Bravecto. It too can protect your dog from fleas.

Is Seresto Safer Than Bravecto?
Answer

Does Bravecto Really Last 3 Months?
Answer

Yes, Bravecto Topical Solution for dogs lasts three months. During this time, it kills fleas and also prevents flea infestations. The three months cover the entire life cycle of the fleas. The Bravecto flea medication will take this time to not only kill adult fleas, but also larvae. That way, there is no possibility that the larvae will grow up into the adult stage and torment your dogs again. However, you can reapply the Bravecto solution after two months from the initial dose if the fleas or ticks somehow manage to return.
