Vetri-Lysine Plus Supports: Immune system Function Collagen formation Tissue repair Antioxidant activity Antibody and Lymphocyte production About the Ingredients: · L-Lysine is an amino acid that supports antibody, hormone and enzyme production. It also supports collagen formation and tissue repair. · L-Lysine competes with L- Arginine which is the amino acid required by the herpes virus to replicate. · DMG is an intermediary metabolite (a substance that is rapidly broken down into other vital substances in the body) that is naturally produced by the body in small amounts. · DMG provides useful building blocks including methyl groups that support the production of vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, antibodies, nucleic acids, and other metabolically active molecules. · Animals produce DMG in small amounts and research indicates that supplementing with DMG enhances oxygen utilization at the cellular level and supports the immune response (antibody and lymphocyte production).

Active Ingredients Per Approximately 2 Soft Chews: L-Lysine 250 mg N,N-Dimethylglycine (DMG) HCl 50 mg Inactive Ingredients: brewers yeast, canola oil, chicken liver flavor, citric acid, glycerin, mixed tocopherols, propionic acid, proprietary blend (maltodextrin, sodium alginate and calcium sulfate), rosemary extract, silicon dioxide, soy lecithin, vegetable oil.

No side effects or interactions.

Vetri-Lysine is for cats and kittens only. Although some cats consider it a treat, it is important to only give the recommended daily amount.

Adult Cat (All Weight): Give 1-2 chews, twice daily

Kittens (All Weight): Give 1 chew, twice daily

My cat loves the flavor !

I adopted an older cat who had some immunity problems. My Vet recommended this and so she is on it for life, to put her upper respiratory weakness at bay.It is excellent and she is in great health, just the boost she needs.I tried another product for the same issue, but you had to have her ingest an inordinate amount of pieces per day. This is easier, less pieces and she happily gobbles them up!

the treats smelled terrible

My cats took one whiff of the treats and they ran away. It's all about smell with cats. I spent alot of money for these treat to get the lysine benefit for my cat that had a upper resperatoryinfection. I can't return them because the package was opened. I don't think that is fair.
