We just put a few rescued cats on this weight management chicken and rice formula as they seem to be getting a bit overweight. They love to eat and want to eat their food and other cats food as well.. Now at feeding time they get put in a different room away from the others and only fed weight management. It seems to satisfy their hunger so
far. They also tend to be a little more active.

I am trying to get my 2 cats to lose weight, as suggested by their vet. I decided to try this food and my cats love it. Problem is: they love it so much they gobble it down and cry for more!!!! So when I'm home with them (and not at work), I feel compelled to dole out their evening meal in 2 parts. Has anybody else had this problem??? I never have and I've had cats all my life...

I have been feeding my extremely overweight cat, Pro Plan Weight Management formula for the last few years. In two years, he has gone from 32 pounds to 26 pounds! His vet is very happy with his progress. He still has a long way to go but with ProPlan weight management formula, he can do it.

My cat had problems with hypercalcemia while on other diets, but as soon as I switched to this one, his hypercalcemia problems disappeared. My cat loves the flavor and I don't have problems with him not eating it.

I purchased this food for one of our senior cats who was getting a little too much "junk in her trunk." The vet suggested a weight management food so we purchased Pro Plan Focus Adult Weight Management Chicken and Rice Formula. We were hoping she would like it and she did so that is what we are feeding her now.

We received this as a bulk donation for our rescue cats and were pleasantly surprised with how well it works. Often our cats are in stores (to be seen by the public for adoption), and because of this are caged. Caged cats tend to get bored and over-eat unfortunately. We decided to switch our cats to Weight Management to see if that would make a difference -- and it did! And we (and the cats) couldn't be happier while waiting for forever homes.

This isn't as tasty as the other flavors but the cats still like it. They don't chow down as much as the regular chicken and rice. With less fat than the original it is a good choice for overweight kitties

As Maya gets older, she seems to like to eat like a pig. But when she does, she gets fat and doesn't play as much. With the weight management, I can still give her some yummy food and she doesn't even know she's dieting.

We had an adult rescue cat who at age 3 suddenly started to add weight rapidly - until we switched him to this formula : chicken/rice weight management. We'd tried another food previously but struggled to get him to eat it - so this was a great find. He liked the food and began losing the extra pounds settling on his perfect weight! I have been feeding this to my four cats and two neighborhood cats for a long time and they have loved it, but just bought a new bag this week and none of the cats will eat it., my one cat was actually mad. Did you change the formula recently? I did go back and buy the Urinary Tract formula, but they don't like it either. I would recommend this a week ago, but not today.

We have a over weight cat in fact she was the biggest the vet had seen before spaying, you can imagine the weight she put on after the spay. She is not back to a normal size yet, but have seen some weight dropped to date. The cats love the taste and we have no potty problems either.

I live on a busy street and, after losing a cat to traffic, I keep my four cats indoors. Benedict is now 10 and has been eating Pro Plan Focus Weight Management for most of those 10 years. He has a tendency to put on weight even though his food at home is restricted. (But he's learned to charm the neighbors and puts on a great begging routine). Although that's basically the only food we have fed him, he never seems to tire of it. When he doesn't enjoy it, it usually means he has a health issue. Fortunately that's been rare. Benedict and we thank you for Pro Plan.

I consistently feed our two cats Proplan Weight Management Formula. The cats apparently love the flavor as there is none left in their bowls. I also notice, that compared to other brands, there is very little kibble dust in the product. When this dust is present, it becomes obvious toward the bottom of the bag. I have had to use a colander with other brands to remove this dust before storing and feeding. Dusty food can't be pleasant for the cats.

I started purchasing Pro Plan's Weight Management dry food for my cat when Bodacious reached 16 pounds. He is an eating machine. We buy a different flavor for our other cat, Nietzsche, who is 11 pounds. Both cats prefer the Weight Management dry food over any other flavor we have tried. Don't know what it has in it, but they both love it.

When I adopted Circie she was on Pro Plan for kittens. I've kept her on Pro Plan (now the adult & weight management) mixed along with one from the Vet. She did not want to give up her Pro Plan. She'll soon be 4 and just had her yearly checkup in which her Doctor says her weight is perfect and she's in excellent health.

I have two 7-year-old tabby cat brothers. Both were obese -- due to free feeding when I had a geriatric cat who needed to eat frequently. The grey tabby went from 19 lbs to 14 lbs and the orange tabby from 17 lbs to 13 lbs. It took a year and I also fed ProPlan wet food (still do). They have been able to maintain their weight loss for over a year. Very happy with this food which they happily eat ... and so is their vet who has been recommending the food for cat weight loss.

THis is a great food. My cat is the most food obsessed cat alive. But she actually paces herself now with these crispies. She gets full quicker and it seems to burn slower. Fantastic product

I love Pro Plan and have been buying this dry food for years. I tried the weight management formula after adopting my cat a couple of years ago. I used to buy Pro Plan Hairball Management but my husband accidentally bought this type. The cats and I saw no difference but I thought they felt lighter. Sure enough, when they went for their check-ups, they both had lost weight. They're small cats and they weren't overweight but one had lost 3 ounces and the other 11. If you want your cats to lose weight, I highly recommend this food! I should mention that I always mix the Pro-Plan with Purina One Hairball formula so used alone, I'm sure your cats would lose even more weight than mine did!

This food is so great for cats! I am a vet and recommend it all the time, fat cat or not. My cats eat it and love it. It is 46% protein (most other dry foods are mid to low 30%s). If your cat doesn't like canned or you just don't want to fool with the mess, this is definitely the next best option!

I get this product for my food-obsessed (former stray) cat who needed to lose some weight. I like it because it is so high in protein. I spent a long time looking at the labels in the pet store and this easily had 2-3x the amount of protein in other dry foods, including wheat-free/organic brands. My cat will eat anything, so I can't comment on flavor.

I have been feeding my 3-yr old cats (two, one male and one female) this food since they were adults and they have always liked the food and are maintaining a great weight. They are pretty large cats because they are polydactyls, so I feel it more important to keep track of their weight.
