Doctor recommended and I started giving her 2 pills a day and her levels have improved along with diet.

This medication has changed my dogs life. I know we can’t ever fix his liver damage but this helps slow the damage .
My dog acted like his old self as soon as he started taking it. 2 days after he ran out ( we had a 90 day supply ) he started vomiting again. Vomiting was our first sign that something was wrong.
I won’t ever let it run out again!!

I have used the Denamarin capsules and the chewables. My dog, who loves her flea and heart chewables - and all treats- will not eat her dosage of two Denamarin chewables. They seem dry and likely tasteless and she now just waits for the peanut butter coating to eat them. I went to chewables because the capsule is very large and with a pill pocket it was too big and she only ate the pocket. I have decided to go back to those because then I only have to deal with one pill instead of two!

I've tried to feed these chewable tablets to my dog and he won't eat them, wether by themselves or in his food.
He just says no!

I thought when it said "chewable" it was soft and chewy. My dog doesn't like this any better than the blue tablets. I still have to cover it with peanut butter to get her to eat it. We will go back to the tablets.

I was using the caplets but having to dip them in peanut butter though my dog didn't need the extra fat. However, he will chew these which is better for him and easier for me.

Chewable formula has been helpful. Vet said efficacy was comparable to non chewables. I don't know if effectiveness is same as nonchewables but it is easier to medicate dog. Only other issue is 96 pound dog dose is 3 1/2 chewables that are bigger diameter than a nickel. For a picky dog it can be trying to get the meds in.

I wish it was less expensive since it must be taken daily. It costs more then my own prescriptions. It's a large pill that claims to be chewable but my dog won't take it unless it's wrapped in a bit of cheese.

My dog must like the taste because he will eat these chewble pills with no fuss. These are slightly more exoensive but worth the convenience.

My pom had a tumor and several lesions removed from her liver last year. My vet has recommended that she stay on the Denamarin for the rest of her life to help keep her liver healthy. Because she is so small, she has a hard time keeping the regular Denamarin pills down. The chewable tabs work great!
