I have a 11 year old mini doxie and we switched her from the regular small bites to this due to store availability. Best decision ever! She lost a bit of the stubborn weight we were struggling to shed with regular walks alone. Her energy notably increased and she is SO SOFT. My senior heeler 13 years old was not eating the dog food he had eaten for years. He was losing weight and going downhill. We thought we might lose him. Our vet recommended Adult 7+ small bites. He loves it and started eating again. He has put on weight and has made quite a turnaround. It's like a miracle to us. The last 2 bags of food I have bought were not the original food. One bag also gave my dog dirrehea, it took her a week to get over it. I bought another bag from a different store and it was perfect. I can tell by the smell and apperence it was not the same food. Something is going on where it is produced, Someone needs to look into this matter.

I decided to try this product by chance (and reputation) and I have to say WOW. 1) my dog had bowel issues and wasn't regular. Solved. 2) she also had very bad breath. For 5 years I have been trying several dog foods. I have 5 dogs. 4 of which are Italian Greyhounds. One of the Italian Greyhounds has had a weight issue ever since he was fixed. He had problems with his no. 2's for these past 5 years...always straining while he went. Finally I tried Hill's Perfect Weight and remarkably he has had normal no. 2's. It is amazing!!! Mickey farts constantly while on this food. Holy moly. He poops 10+ times a day and makes the entire house smell like rotting eggs. He loves it, but he also loves garbage, so I can't tell. My cockapoo has had some serious systemic joint problems for the last 3 years. He was a rescue we have estimated his age to be about 11 years. We've had him 7 years. He was to the point of constantly holding his right rear leg up to avoid the pain when walking. He was on pain meds and anti- inflammatories as well as phycox. I started him on this food in February this year. I noticed in April he was putting weight back on that leg after 3 years. He now walks on all four legs and does not favor that rear leg any longer. This food has balanced the weight of my 2 chihuahuas. The 3rd will be eating it soon as he is less than a year old and still eats Science small breed puppy (he has been neutered and has gained weight). They love the taste. I think it also allows them to have a little more food without gaining excess weight. My Vet always comments on how stable and perfect their weight is (he sees a lot of overweight small breed dogs). I have a picky Schnauzer, that won't eat just any food. I've always fed my dogs SD. This particular product, she will eat. I mix it with veggies and meat and she eats the whole thing. What's convenient, I have to put her medication inside her food. So far, I haven't had any issue's. She gets complimented on her shiny coat. I'm ask on what type of dog food I use. I have a Chihuahua that I rescued from a breeder. Cricket was 8 when I adopted her and had had that many litters of puppies. She has a hernia bigger than a golf ball. As my Welsh Terrier was aging, I was looking for a dry food product that would provide the proper balanced diet as he aged. So I researched on line and determined that this specific "mature" >7 was definitely something that I wanted to try for him. He not only liked the flavor, but he would also eat it dry with no added canned dog food. He was beginning to have some aging problems, but his last yearly check ups have been good with no major health problems except the beginning of cataracts. Beaux hopefully with proer diet and management will live to be an old man.

My male dog lived to the age of 19 and with his heart problem he wasn't expected to live over 5 years old and it was a jaw infection that was the reason he passed , I believe the science diet was one of the reasons he lived so long. My dogs have been on Hills Brand Science Diet Small bites from the day I brought them home. They are now 7 and the only change ever made to their food is to a new stage in Science Diet for their age. They are healthy and my Vet is happy and he recomends as well. Two of the dogs were rescuses around 6 months old and the same age as my other dogs which worked out good with the food. I would recommend to all and would not use anything else. They are all toy dogs: male and female Yorkshire Terrier, male Maltese and female Chihuahua. Having lost some of his teeth during dental procedures, and with a small elongated mouth, my fox terrier is about 10 years old and has a difficult time crunching some larger morsels. I have a 17 year old dog that that has been on Science diet since I got her at 8 weeks old. She ate nothing but the dry dog food for 15 3/4 years. I had to start her on Science diet can dog food after that as she had some medical problems and wouldn't eat dry food for a couple of weeks. After a couple of weeks she began eating a mix of dry and can. Last month my vet started her on a Kidney Diet due some elevated levels so now I've switched to prescription K/D. I selected the Dry Dog food for the review since she ate it for so many years. I've been very pleased with Science Diet and I attribute her remaining healthy for almost 16 years is partially attributed to quality dog food from Science Diet. My 5 year old dog also eats Science Diet. Would be great if you all could come out with K/D dog treats.

I bought the Mature adult small breed dry dog for a few years. I have a dachshund 9 years old who is allergic to wheat products. Your old formula was made with a corn base. My dog and I love this product. Out of many tried brands, this one is the only one he will eat readily. He is healthy for his long age and I am confidant it is due to the high quality of ingredients and catering of the needs of a dogs stages in his life. Brands may come and go but science diet is always there to give my little man a healthy meal and excellent value for the money.Science Diet got it right!

Steven, our Jack Russell Terrier has been on Hill's Science Diet food all of his life. After he turned 7, we switched him from regular Adult to Mature Adult small bites. The size is just perfect for him, he loves the taste, and he doesn't leave any food in his bowl--the cat will eat it if he leaves any behind! I am confident in the quality of the food plus my veterinarian recommended it. I feel good about feeding my dog such a high-quality food because he is part of the family!

This food is all my dog will eat. If she eats anything else, she gets sick. I've never had any issues with my dogs health while eating science diet food. Very reasonably priced. The only issue I have is the seal on the bag is not good. I usually have to rebag it.

Our 13 + year old westie named Jake just got his annual vet check and we were told that all his vital organ fuctions were very good. We have been feeding him science diet since we got him at 1 1/2 years old.We believe that his health has a lot to do with what he is fed. I have an older dog with kidney issues so I monitor certain values in her food.The new packaging is disappointing in that it does not give detailed values like the old packaging.I had to call for these and found they had changed slightly in a way that wasn't positive for my dog. When I compared new toy and small breed values to those in the small bites I decided that I could switch her to that food which is more economical and now has comparable values that are important for her kidney function.I wish the nutritional values information on the old packaging had been maintained.

I've been feeding Hill's products to Brandy since she was 3 years old, she's now 10 yrs. young. Started giving her Science Diet mature/adult small bites last year. She loves them all, I just have to watch how much I give her though because she'll keep eating no matter how much I put in her bowl.

I have a 9 year old pug that has been transformed by Hill Mature Adult small breed formula. He was scratching and had constant ear infections on his previous diet. After eating Hills for 3 months his coat is smooth and soft and his scratching and ear infections are gone! He also eats the canned mature adult beef formula and loves it. Bingo is a 15# Pom/spitz mix. We adopted him & he is 13 now. He loves his Science Diet, eats a whole bowl one piece at a time.. He follows me around & many times when I'm watching tv, he will get a mouth full of dog food bring it by me,drop it on the floor& eat 1 at a time. I have been using Science Diet for over 10 years for my Daschund. He has been picky about food since the day I got him and Science Diet is the only thing he will eat, and I have tried many different dog foods. He is picky to the point that he will only eat the small bites. It doesn't matter much to me, because Science Diet has a great line of products for my dog and as long as he likes them, I am happy! I have a 14-year old Cocker Spaniel and she has been eating Science Diet dry food her entire life. Many people think she is still a young pup because of the energy she still has at her age. I have an 11 year old German Shephard that has only eaten Science Diet. Through the years she started with large breed puppy bites, then adult dog food, and now the Longevity formula. When people see her, no one believes she is 11! She looks about 3 years old. I tell them that Science Diet keeps her in lean, good shape and that I am sure it is what is contributing to her long life and good health. I highly recommend this food for your older pet!

I have two Yorkies a boy 12 years old and a girl who will be 13 years old in August. The boy had been loosing his hair with dry skin and both were having trouble jumping up on different things. Since feeding them Science Diet Mature Adult Small and Toy Breed they are moving around better and the boy's hair has stopped coming out.

Until starting our 10 year old Boxer on Science diet, she regularly threw up her food. Our vet recommended Science, and although it was an investment for us we love our dog and want her to be healthy. After her first bowl, which she ate enthusiastically, we knew that Science diet would be our choice for the rest of our dog's life. Our chihuahua is a little picky when it comes to dry food. He knows what he likes and if the pieces are too big or too "hard", he won't eat it, no matter what you do to it. This product is one of his favorites! The pieces are the right size and regardless if we leave it dry or add other food or liquid to it, he loves it! I recommend it for both the average and picky eater!

Great for my 10yo sheltie's sensitive stomach. Science Diet seems to be the only food she can tolerate. However, with the small bites dry food she takes a mouthful out of her bowl and drops it on the kitchen floor, then eats most of the food, but always leaves a few on the floor. Its almost like she picks out the "bad ones". Very strange behavior, but we still love the food!

I have been "Saving" dogs for 22 years and have used nothing else, All my rescues have lived very LONG lives with your food, true believer and have had alot of people switch under my bliefs. Our Yorkshire Terrior has been eating Hills Science Diet dry food since she was 8 weeks old since our vetinarian recommended it. She just recently changed to the 7+ mature dry food for small toy dogs. She likes it and at times has enjoyed it as a snack out of our hands. Her name is Sofie and her registered name is Mathis's Princess Sofie. She weighs 5 lbs. I have included a photo of her.

My Dogs eat nothing but SCIENCE DIET which my vet reccommended since 1982. All 3 dogs love it. GAGI (schnauzer) lived 16 1/2 years, SAM (cocker spaniel) lived 14years and MOLLY (cocker spaniel) is 11 years old and has the vitality of a puppy. I know SCIENCE DIET is a big reason they've lived long healthy lives. They all had/have beautiful coats. Even though SCIENCE DIET cost more it's worth every penny when I see my healthy lovable dogs. I plan to get a new puppy (to replace SAM) who will be raised on SCIENCE DIET.

Our 8 yr. old wolf husky/lab mix has been eating this product for one year now. The nutrition is excellent, and helps him maintain great health as he has entered his senior years. His coat is beautiful, and the vet often comments on how she can tell that he is eating a quality dog food from the condition of his coat. This product also helps him maintain a healthy weight. My 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier was suffering from diaherra and weight loss. Tests showed his B-12 was very low and he was also refusing to eat his dry food. I put him on B-12 medication, but he was still not eating his normal food as he had before. After trying several brands of food, which he refused and his weight loss continuing I bought a bag of Science Diet small bites for a senior small dog. He immediately started eating all his food and has continued to do so. His weight is almost back to normal and he looks terrific. He has returned to his former championship form. While all are now in their "retirement years," they don't seem to know how old they are supposed to be. This SCIENCE DIET is a great food for our rescue mixed breed, Tiffy!! She would eat ANYTHING, I'm sure, as she was found as a stray....but I know by giving her this, she is getting a balanced & healthy diet. Also, the fact that is it specifically made for small breeds (she weighs under 20 lbs), that all the research & development has gone into its creation. We only buy SCIENCE DIET for both dogs...our Choc Lab, Mindy, is on prescription KD from the vet. Thanks for great products!!! And I also appreciate the coupons offered....as feeding a quality product IS a tad more expensive that the "cheapie" brands.

When I got my first puppy the vet explained that a quality food would minimize many health issues that arrise over the years. It was great advice- all the dogs I have cared for have seen their 16th birthdays with very few health issues along the way. Dante is a survivor. He's required two known shelter adoptions (near death experiences# and another unofficial adoption to wind up sleeping at the bottom of our bed. Dante is at least 12 years old and probably older, with whatever is the current dog year factor to consider today. I have been feeding my dogs Science diet all their lives (8 and 16). They have always loved their food,but recently became sensitive to the ingredients in regular small bites. I switched to Lamb and Meal, which they seem to like, but I don't know how long I will be able to afford it. It is a more expensive product. My American Eskimo is about 12 years old and he is very picky. I have tried different dry dog foods and Science Diet Mature Adult is the only one he actually eats and seems to enjoy. He has bad teeth and 4 of them have been pulled, so I like the small kibble size since he has trouble chewing and I don't have to mix water into his dry food (he hates that). He also has bad joints, but I noticed that after eating Science Diet Mature Adult, he seems to walk better and be more active. I will keep feeding him this food for these reasons.

My toy chihuahua (Pricilla) was having trouble breathing & tired all the time was not a playful dog. I thought something serious was wrong. My veterinarian told me she was way over weight and reccommended "Hill's Science Diet" for her weight loss program. I purchased it in the Vet's office and have been using it since. I feed Mature Adult Small Bites to my 12 year old Australian Shepherd. She is a very picky eater, so I supplement her kibble with Mature Adult canned food, also by Science Diet. Even though she is a 50 pound dog, she prefers the Small Bites over the larger size kibble. She is doing great on this product. Her coat is soft and very shiny, her eyes sparkle, she bounces when she walks, and she always wants to play. Our vet said she is doing great, and no one can believe she is 12. I will keep her on this brand of food for the rest of her life, as I am so happy with how great she is doing, plus I feel safe feeding her such a carefully researched and tested food.

Science Diet is the only pet food that our dog has ever been able to tolerate - but beyond that, she thrives on it. At 11 years old - this food still helps keep her healthy and well nourished and we have never needed to supplement her with any other food. This product is perfect for my Boston Terrier named Baxter. I have been feeding him this dry dog food since I adopted him almost 9 years ago. He is very healthy for being almost 12 years old. No one thinks he is that old since he has such a nice coat, his weight is just right and he loves walking and playing with other dogs. I have three golden retrievers that ONLY eat Hill's Science dry and canned food. I have fed all my dogs over the past 35 years nothing but Hills Science food. My oldest is a Golden/Collie mix, who will be 17 (!!) years old on May 20th, and is still very healthy! My other two are 6 years old and are very healthy as well. I totally attribute this to the fact that the only food they have eaten since the day we got them is Hill's Science dry and canned twice each day. I would not feed them anything else! Once in awhile for a treat we give her a small helping of the science diet can food. she has been very healthy and no one believes how old she is at 12 years old now. My little Min Pin is sometimes prone to digestive issues. Since switching her to Science Diet, there has been a definite improvement in such a short time. And she LOVES this stuff. This product was originally recommended by my vet and I have been very happy with it ever sense. My dog is very active, she gets a couple dailey walks, and her energy level is always very good and I credit that to her food. Her waste is also very consistent and she doesn't have accidents. My dog absolutely loves your product. Its all she has eaten ever since she was a baby. We also tried other types of science diet products and was also happy to find a sensitive stomach formula which helped her dearly. My only wish would be is for you to have sample packs for cats so I can switch her to your brand. She has stomach issues and I'm sure your product would help. But to have sample packs would help me better because I can't afford to buy the big bags in different types and she doesn't take to it very well. Otherwise my pets will be eating your brand until they are long gone which will be a very long time away.

We have a Baseji and a Rat Terrior that have been helped tremendously from this product. Our Basenji has a sensitive stomach and various joint issues. After two years on the Mature dry she is running up the stairs and has a wonderful gleam to her coat.
