The tiny pellets are way too small for a cat who doesn't feel well and needs to eat. My cat tries to eat it, but it falls out of her mouth too easily. It's unbelievable to me that this important of a food for cats who need to eat healthy is so small and difficult for them to eat. Please use wisdom and make it easier to eat.

Both of our cats like this food. It has helped to maintain their weight and glucose levels.

A little pricey for the 8lb bag, but 3 out of 4 cats love it!

I bought an 8 lb bag of dry and 6 cans a few days ago. My cat likes the food and eats well. He has not had any set backs since starting Hill's Prescription MD. There are no other choices of food to buy for my cats condition. The price is very high and my income is not. I have an obligation to my pet to keep him healthy and loved. The coupons I get help, I sure wish they were a higher $ value.

My cat has 2 different medical issues that require special food. This cat food works for both and he loves eating it.

I started feeding this to my two cats about one month ago. I started giving it to them gradually mixed with their current food. They picked out the Hills food and left the other. They really enjoy it. I am told it is intentionally made in large pieces so that it helps their teeth when they chew it. They make a little mess around the food bowl but it is worth it.

My cat does not like it much but when that's all there is she will eat it. A case of 24 cans cost way too much and there's only one flavor. I only buy it because I can't find any better option

My pet needed to increase her protein levels in her food and we switched her to m/d. She is doing fantastic on this food and has even lost weight and improved muscle tone. Great for a 14 year old.

I have a very large set of Maine Coon brothers. One was 19 pounds and the other was 39.8. The vet said they were completely healthy, are a large breed and the larger one will probably never get below 25 lbs. He could barely clean himself from his neck down and was very lazy. After 2 years on the diet, he lost 10 pounds and he's still losing a little every few months. He's still a large cat at 27 pounds, but it's made a big difference. Granted I now have portion control, where I didn't before, and our dog died a few years ago so they are no longer dipping into his food too. But I believe the food has really helped. He's finally able to clean himself "down there" on his own and groom himself again and I'm so happy.

I find it costing 2x's what I paid for Science Diet regular cat food. The cat like the food and she has lost some weight.

Since we started using the M/D and with daily insulin injections our 12 year old cat's glucose reading have been controlled. Our Vet is now going to attempt to reduce the injections with the objective of controlling his insulin level with diet only. That is where we hope the M/D will help the most.

My cat likes the dry, but it's higher in carbs so I have to limit his consumption.

My cat loves this food. She had no problem adjusting to it and I saw results very quickly.

Excellent product but needs to be available in larger size bags, plus there is a need to implement an incentive program for customers who purchase this product frequently. More money saving coupons for the customer with no limitations on how many they get a month, like which is currently done.

My cat was put on this diet by my veterinarian about six weeks ago. I am feeding her the dry and the canned meat. She can't wait until meal time each day and doesn't leave anything in her bowl. Because she is 14 years old now and is showing dietary complications, this quality product gives me assurance she is getting all the nutrition she needs. Great product!

I have two 6 year old cats who have been eating Hill's since they were eight weeks old. They have clear eyes and silky fur. They seem to really enjoy the food and it has kept them very healthy. I know two vets (who don't know one another) and they both rave about how good this food is for cats. I trust them both and I trust your product. Thank you

The vet recommended switching from the "regular" science diet to this one for weight control and insulin control. With two cats in the household, I wasn't sure how well this would work out, as they both loved the regular food. But turns out they like this one even better. Both cats are now a healthy weight, and I feel good that I am providing them with high quality, healthy food (that they both like, despite it being a prescription) so they can both live longer and healthier.

My cat loves the food and he is responding very well. The quality appears to be very high. However, it's expensive.

My vet put my cat on this food because his digestive system is sensitive. Throwing up without hairballs and burping all the time. Yes. Burping. I have never known a cat to burp. He is not diebetic nor overweight, but my vet felt that the ingredients was better for him than over the counter. It is definitely more expensive which is hard on my retirement income. His vomiting has significantly decreased. We'll see where we are with this a month from now. This should give the other food to clear his system and allow this to work full-time. I do wish they would make the kibbles bigger. My cat loves to chew and this is much smaller than his other Science Diet catfood. Chewing helps clean his teeth. He's swallowing and chewing this kind. Again, please make this bigger or odd sized to encourage chewing the food. Thank you!

My cat, Shiitake, loves m/d dry food by Hill's. He runs to the kitchen when he sees/hears me getting his bowl out. He stands on his hind feet with his front feet on my leg. He talks nonstop until he puts his head in his bowl.

Owe cat is doing much better now. He is more social.

My cat was over weight and is now at a healthy weight due to this product.

Seemingly extending our cat's life span and we get to enjoy her companionship, and she still has some quality of life.

We have 2 cats, one overweight and one just right. Our overweight cat would panic when it was getting close to his canned M//D time. When we switched from Science Diet Optimal Health dry to M/D dry he no longer begs, panics or starts to vomit excessively from stress that his food is a few minutes late. They both are eating the dry formula well throughout the day and night which allows their activity levels to stay consistent throughout. This is very good for the nights, no more 3am wake up calls to be fed. Given their body types I am surprised just how well they are both doing on this food.

My cats love this diet and loose weight even when I cannot always regulate exactly how much they eat. My overweight cat is more managable and my other cats maintained healthy weight on this diet
by pmxellos on 12/21/2013
lMy 3 cats seem to like this and are not begging for food. On the plus side it seems to fill them up which is good. It's a bit pricey but if it helps it's worth it.

Peanut and Sweet Pea are very large bodied cats, but their weight was getting high, so we put them on this prescription diet and so far they have lost over a pound each. We are very pleased with the results. They love the food, wet and dry, and the snacks, as well
by Mothra on 11/11/2013
I'm very pleased with this food. It is doing it's job by managing weight loss. Not sure that it is grain free though which would be my only recommendation.
