Relief for our rescue Border Collie

We rescued a young, male Border Collie who had been on his own for at least 4 -5 months (as tracked thru Facebook by the rescuing organization). Obviously full background information was unavailable, but it was apparent he had spend time with a loving family who taught him obedience and cared for him. Still, by the time we adopted him he also had acquired a number of anxiety issues. He had been returned twice to the shelter and they indicated that if he did not work out in our home - if his anxieties were too severe and complex then he would most likely be humanely euthanized. In collaboration with our vet, we worked with him for 6 months before we finally opted to try Clomicalm. It was really the last option available. It took 2 weeks for the medication to take full effect. The difference is night and day! We did have to scale the dosage of the pm pill down, but he is finally acting like a well adjusted Border Collie - still full of energy, eager to learn and to please. The vet tech/canine behaviorist at the vet's office was amazed. Occasionally I will get distracted and forget to give our pup his pill. He knows when it is due! He will start pawing at me and drooling - we administer in peanut butter and he is asking for the treat as much as wanting to calm down. This is an expensive option and will limit us from being able to add to our four-footed family, but we are pleased with the outcome. Clomicalm works for our pup!

I started my 2 year old, shelter rescued dog on Clomicalm almost 2 weeks ago. I first started giving 1 tab 1x/day, but now give 1/2 tab 2x/day. Clomicalm helped us work through a trying situation. With this medication and some behavior modification, we are finally able to leave our home to go out to lunch or see a movie again. We continue to work with our dog and have seen such an improvement in overall anxiety when we leave the house. We are very relieved to have found Clomicalm.

CLOMICALM CHANGED MY DOG'S LIFE!

I adopted an extreeeemly fearful dog. She had obviously been badly abused. On TV there can be an almost miraculous cure - but not her. Years went by with little improvement. Then I found Clomicalm. She was 50% better. Years later she started to revert. Then I gave her the maximum dose. She has finally taken her tail out from under her legs & is bouncing around. She flies thru the house at meal time cuz' she's so happy and tries to pounce on her sister. Happy dog at last! Also, it is a non-tranquilizer so does not dull your dog down. It is good for separation anxiety, barking, and many others.

We use this with our very old large dog. We have to give multiple pills because you do not offer a larger dose. That would make this easier to use and we would only have to give 1 pill at a time. This medication works very well for our dog.

CALMER DOG

My Shiz-Tsu is very destructive and gets very angry when he is left home alone. He also marks furniture and the floor. He can become aggressive for no apparent reason. After taking him to the vet, he was prescribed clomicalm.After about three months, I noticed that he was much calmer when leaving him and is less aggressive. This medication probably is the only reason that we still have him.

Beagle Terror

Our rescue Beagle had to be near a family member at all times. The first time we left him home alone he caused over $1000 damage to the house. Vet prescribed Clomicalm and it has made a great difference. Now he is more independent. We still can't leave him free in the house when we are gone but he has gone from crate to staying in the laundry room. It's all going in a good direction. we were giving him 1 tablet a day but after 3 weeks we went to 1/4 tablet when we are home and 1/2 tablet when we will be away.

no change

I have noticed absolutely no change in my one and a half year old schnauzer except that maybe he is peeing indoors a little MORE frequently. He has been on Clomicalm for over a month. I am highly disappointed, and 1 we have being working on training throughout this whole time. The only thing I can say is that my vet prescribed this for generalized anxiety, not seperation anxiety, although I can't imagine it should make that much of a difference. Also, no side effects, but no benefits noted either.

Our lab/pointer mix is an anxious dog, and terribly fearful of thunder. Our vet prescribed clomicalm in combination with behavior modification. We work with her daily on tricks, exercises, patience and her expectations. This in combination with clomicalm has done wonders. We noticed a difference soon after we started giving her the clomicalm. We still have to work with her in regard to her panic when she hears thunder, but she is showing progress with the clomicalm in combination with xanex and has stopped worrying about all her problems!

Clomicalm

I have a German Shepard/Lab mix and when we adopted him, we had a collie mix, both are males. Everything was fine with both dogs, then we lost our collie mix, who was the alpha male, our german shepard mix went through a lot of anxiety and started scratching himself on his neck to the point of drawing blood. We thought he had an ear infection, took him to the vet 3 times over a 6 month period. He would begin to heal and then break open the wound and make it bigger each time, finally after a long discussion with our vet we determined that he must have anxiety because he was now in charge and no longer a follower. Once we put him on the clomiclam he has been great, his neck has completely healed and no longer does he show the signs of an axiety ridden dog. I am very thankful to the vet and this medication because we have our dog back.

Dog from devil to angel

My greyhound mix began having horrible, destructive seperation anxiety when we temporarily moved away fom my boyfriend and his dog (whom my my dog had lived with since adoption). I was hesitant about putting him on medication so after trying everything else our vet prescribed clomicalm. The results were amazing and overnight, I would come home to an in tact apartment and a happy dog. Plus my dog only needed half a tablet even though 1 was recommended for his weight. 1 bottle lasts 2 months! I highly recommend!

Cat Urine Spraying

After trying several other medications to get my neutered male cat to stop spraying, my Vet prescribed Clomicalm and it is working. Would strongly recommend it. Great medicine!!
