  • Flea pill
The product was good and I liked it. My dog took it easily and I noticed a great difference within hours. by on 07/05/2016
  • Capstar Fizzle
We used this product a few months ago and it worked fine. Either this shipment was bad or the fleas gathered a very fast tolerance. The fleas were back within a week. by on 05/02/2016
  • This product is easy to use .
The Capstar product works very well . It does not seem to effect the pet . Instructions are easy to follow . I would recommend this product to everyone . by on 09/05/2015
  • Great features
If your dog comes in contact with a flea infestation , cap star will rid them from your dog in 24 hours by on 07/21/2015
  • instant results
i have 9 indoor cats only 4 go outside for a few hours daily, with all the rain we have seen recently, fleas were a major problem, with 9 cats, veterianary bills get outrageous, I love Capstar!!!!!!I shared the tablets between the cats which had been scratching, running like trying to get away from the biting, within 20 minutes they started scratching less, relaxing and finally resting. As they relaxed more, I would check them, I couldn't believe what I saw, DEAD FLEAS around their bodies on thier blankets. I am so glad I ordered Capstar, and so are my cats. by on 07/12/2015
  • Doesn't work
Gave my four cats more than ten doses to no avail. by on 06/23/2015
  • This product is great for one time use but need more for a feral cat.
I was looking for a product for fleas and ticks, even though this product was good for initial treatment still not what I needed and what I need is not offered in feline form. I do thank you for offering this as an option. by on 06/03/2015
  • Quick results.
Nice to be able to kill the fleas in about a day. Just wish it also killed the eggs too. They say you can use it daily if needed, but I don't want to do that. Also can get expensive that way. by on 06/01/2015
  • This product works like a charm
It is the best flea medicine I have found, works quickly and gives your pet immediate relief. You can give the med every 24 hours but I find it will work 48 hrs. by on 07/15/2014
  • Flea Free
Easy and effective flea protection. My dog eat's it like it's a treat! by on 05/21/2014
  • Works fine
Gave my dogs their pill and they took the pill easily one need a piece of cheese, have had no problems with fleas. by on 04/24/2014
  • Best Flea Product I have found.
I just couldn't seem to get rid of the fleas on my "boys". I do not want to keep using pesticides every month and from what I have read Capstar is much less harmful. It also works wonderfully. Love it! It's a star with me! by on 04/16/2014
  • Good Product
The pill works great by itself. Try and catch on sale...... by on 03/07/2014
  • Excellent product for killing fleas
Gave it to my cat and within 20 minutes fleas were dropping and dying. Unbelievable! Then gave a 2nd dose 2 days later to kill off any eggs that might have hatched same results. Definitely buy this product if your dog or cat is infested with fleas. by on 02/05/2014
  • It works so quickly
I love this product. It is safe to use and very effective. by on 01/17/2014
  • Excellent, just wished price better
Capstar works great especially on fleas. I only use it once a month with good results. Dog likes its flavor. Only drawback is price but product is excellent. by on 01/02/2014
  • Lightning Fast! Super Effective!
I really wasn't sure if this would be as quick as the product description claimed, but decided I'd try it anyways. We have four active indoor/outdoor dogs and I was amazed how quickly this product worked. I slipped the pills into a treat for each of our four indoor/outdoor dogs and within minutes, 1 minutes, I could see results. I found it was effective for about a month at a time for our two outdoor dogs and 2 or more months at a time for our two indoor dogs. by on 12/30/2013
  • Product is easy to use
I do not think is very effective on controlling fleas by on 12/28/2013
  • Capstar Flea Killer not working either!
I bought this to see if would work on my dogs as all the ones that I've been using topically haven't been working. Well this one didn't work either, still have fleas on all my dogs. Guess I will have to try the expensive one. These fleas have become immune to everything else. by on 11/17/2013
  • easy to use when you need it
first time I used and it did good . Just a bad year for fleas and they were difficult to control. used this in between times when needed to keep down on fleas.Nothing is really working anymore.. not even K9 advantix this year and you can't fumigate the whole county and all the neighbors .... I hate that Program was taken off market. It worked and its a shame the Vets controlled that. Fleas should be a priority not vets getting richer. by on 09/10/2013
  • This product is good as far as I can tell.
The only thing I have a slight problem with is the price. I have two dogs and this product can get a little costly for me. Other than that, I have used Capstar before and I really thought it worked. by on 09/08/2013
  • MONTH LONG FLEA KILLER PILL
ORIGINALLY PRESCRIBED BY VET AS PART OF TOTAL FLEA PLAN. PetCareRx IS ABOUT 50% CHEAPER FOR EXACT SAME PRODUCT! KILLS ONLY ADULT BITING FLEAS, BUT WHEN USED IN COMBINATION WITH FRONTLINE II WHICH KILLS ALL STAGES OF FLEAS, EGGS, LARVAE, AND ADULT, AND BEDDING AREA, PLUS AREA SPRAY, DOGS ARE FLEA FREE.CAPSTAR IS CRITICAL PART OF PROGRAM TO KILL THE ADULT BITING FLEAS ON YOU DOG. by on 09/08/2013
  • Capstar works great
Capstar works great for killing full grown fleas. Wish there was another tablet form for eggs without a prescription. Cannot use liquid product; in the past oil from product ruined our leather couches. by on 08/13/2013
  • Best option for killing fleas!
Whether you have a problem with a few fleas or what seems like an infestation, this product does the trick quick. Absolutely worth it. So much easier and effective than any powders, liquids, or shampoos. by on 08/08/2013
  • This product works very well.
It really easy to give to my dogs. However, when it comes to the cat it's nearly impossible without some form of trickery to avoid risk of being scratched or bitten because he's smarter than my dogs. by on 07/08/2013
  • She was going insane!
After 2 years of being a dog, and 1 year of living with my cat brother, I thought Mom was going to go insane from fleas. So, Mom and Dad bought us Capstar for a terrible infestation. It started working within minutes, and my entire body wasn't itching! I was able to rest without waking up to scratch. We love Capstar! by on 08/16/2011
  • Flea Killer
This product works brilliantly. I live in Florida where fleas are prevalent all year round and I have 2 energetic dogs that love to run into the large weeded area in my back yard (behind the shed so its hard to get rid of the weeds). I tried many flea products with no success until now. I am very pleased with Capstar. by on 05/23/2011
  • It Really Does Work - Thank Goodness
We have four cats, Patches, Tigger, Mr Chew Chew and Rusty. Love them all, except for the fleas. It wasn't all that bad, but it made me crazy watching them scratch all of the time. The topical didn't work very well, but, Capstar Flea Killer did. They all have stopped scratching. We combed each of the cats and in the combs teeth their were dead fleas. THIS PRODUCT DOES WORK!!! It is less expensive then going to the vets, less stress on the cats. Fantastic product! by on 01/28/2011
  • Capstar/Frontline/Advantage
Introduced to Capstar by our vet after a terrible 2010 infestation. Great for the quick kill but if you don't get to the source, the pet will reinfest within a day or two. After several years of using Frontline, I will give them no more of my money; they have either changed the formula or fleas are more resistant. Advantage seems to work pretty well so far. by on 12/28/2010
  • Really Works!
I just moved in a home that possibly had prior pets. The 3,00 sq ft of area was completely overran with fleas. My German Shepard and Rotty suffered. I bought a box of Capstar pills. Low and behold it worked! the dogs are scratching less with no moaning and groaning. I just bought 2 more boxes along with a yard repellent. I have retaken my home and now I've begun giving them home remedy products along with the product. I recommend Capstar 1000% by on 11/11/2010
  • Buy Capstar AND a topical product like Frontline!
I used this on my cats many times. Your cat will itch like crazy for thirty minutes or so after you give it to the cat, but it's worth it. You MUST use a secondary product like Frontline! Capstar is an immediate effective product that will last 24 hours. You need to use Frontline (or similar) to have long term flea killing. Otherwise the fleas WILL come back! Also make sure to thoroughly vacuum or sweep up your floors, beds, under the beds, on top of cabinets - Wherever your cat has been at even once, you'll need to clean. Look for flea eggs (they look like spilled salt) and larvae (which look like gross tiny maggots). If someone takes your flea ridden cat (or cats) to the vet to let the vet give them Capstar (as it is a pill and many cats are hard to give pills to) have someone else be at your home to clean it thoroughly or even use a flea fogger in your home and some kind of treatment for your yard (if your cat is outdoors or if you know there are oodles of fleas outside). If you just use Capstar you WILL NOT get rid of your fleas. Capstar is like lightning - quick, deadly, but doesn't last long. Yeah, while I'm at the storm analogy, Frontline is like rain - it can last a long while if the storm is intense enough, lol!! Good luck with your fleas, everyone!! by on 10/19/2010
  • vet gave to my sick dog
cost $12.50 for 1 pill at vets. Worked a miracle, but is only good for 24 hours. There is a pill that works for 30 days and I'm ordering that here for $55 for 6. Vet charges $20. per pill. by on 10/11/2010
  • Capstar is the only thing that is working this summer
The Fleas have been horrible this year and we have not been able to get rid of them this year. This has given my cats relief, it does work instantly and has to be regiven to continue to work. Being a frugal person, I have found every 3-4 days works best as advantage or frontline are not working in my house anymore (I think the darn things have built up an imunity) but I also use a pill splitter as I have 2 cats both under 10lbs and it seems to work the best, I can stretch the pills and still have the same effect, with half the cost by on 09/14/2010
  • Works great for what it's made for
This is not a product for long term repellent, this is to be used to quickly kill fleas. People bring me their flea covered pets for grooming, I give them a capstar and bathe them. I tell the owners while the pet is at my place, go home and use a flea bomb on the house and spray the yard. When the pet gets home, treat it with a monthly product & keep it up. You might have to do it all again the next month until all flea eggs have hatched but by the 2nd monthly treatment all fleas should be gone. by on 08/24/2010
  • cant live with out capstar
i do rate capstar a 4 because it does not last long enough, i give my cat one she does get releved from fleas then in a day in a half here comes the fleas again and capstar coat money they are not chep,,, if only there was a capstar for a once a month them its worth the money maybe one day they will make capstar to give cats only once a month, by on 08/03/2010
  • Ineffective
I tried both the 2-25 pound for my cats and the over 25 pound for my dog. This product didn't give any of them relief from their fleas. It is supposed to kill all fleas and ticks on the animal within 24 hours. It did not! Even when utilizing a flea bath after administering the product to wash off the difficult and/or dead fleas, adult fleas remained after the kill period (24 hours). I dosed the animals two days later and again two days after that, using up $60.00 in flea killing product in less than a week. Let me know when you start selling a flea killer that works. by on 07/28/2010
  • it works well along with frontline
capstar is wonderfull to get all the flees off but you'll need frontline or someother product to keep the flees from coming back.... by on 05/04/2010
  • Killed em'
i took my cat Hobbes to the vet and it turned out he had fleas. he was itchy and miserable before we took him there. but we used capstar once a week for 3 weeks and currently use Front-line once a month and now he's happy, healthy & back to normal :-) this product definitely helped out my cat. by on 05/01/2010
  • 24 hour kill
I have been told by a vet that Capstar is to be used initially to kill fleas. It is only a 24 hour treatment, and another, long-term treatment should be used along with it, such as Advantage or Frontline. by on 04/20/2010
  • Me and my 14 dogs
We have 14 dogs of different sizes and this is the only product that we have found the really works. by on 03/21/2010
  • Susan
This product works well with another flea medicine like Program by on 03/20/2010
  • capstar
I love Capstar. started using when we adopted a stray cat who was loaded with fleas. It got the situation under control right away and I always keep on hand when we have visiting animals to protect from that extra flea that they may have brought with them. by on 03/05/2010
  • Not for me
I tried this product on my dog since the "on spot" products are smelly and leave behind a greasy area on his coat. This product works great initially. I could almost see the fleas dropping off of him. However, they re-appeared about a week later although not as bad as before. This product states that you can use it once daily. So, great it's safe to use it more than once per month, but buy a lot because your going to need a large supply to keep the fleas off! by on 01/26/2010
  • Fleas die quickly
I bought this for my cat Bob. It works fast, but it drives him crazy for a little while. I guess thats because the fleas are dying. This can also be used along with Frontline spot on treatment. by on 11/12/2009
  • used before but more costly @ the vet
vets actually dont like it when we order online as it cuts from their business and try to deter u to sprays powders frontline and whatever other costly item they buy in order to make a profit back. I say if your pet is really ill or needs to be vaccinated that is the vets job and a costly one. so being able to order this online knowing my 6 cats and my 1 monster dog Magdalene (maggie) Majesty Mae is happy and healthy and not scratching her tail off its worth it. The fleas were ghastly this year in all parts of the world it has been bad. but the pets are now happy kitties and dog by on 11/03/2009
  • Capstar
I think this is great, I used it for the first time last month, I wish I had found it a long time ago, this really works my dogs are so relaxed and happy when they get the pill. My only problem is I live in a small town and its hard to find. by on 10/08/2009
  • new jersey
the product works somewhat well all flea products are over price. by on 09/30/2009
  • Adults only
As noted above, this is great for the right now with adult fleas, but you will find if your dog is infested or you live in a wooded area, that it doesn't last long. I have tried almost everything, advantage, frontline, ovitrol and many more products and nothing seems to work all of the time. So it seems like Capstar will at least relieve the dogs for a little while. Thinking of going back to using the 7 dust in the yard. That really seemed to help! by on 09/27/2009
  • i like this product.
i really love these pills. they work for my three cats and my only complaint is that they don't work for a long time. I spray my home and then in the mean time i give the pills to my cats. if i spray my home the pills work. one of my cats are very sensitive to flea bites an she gets a lot of little sores on her. using these pills she is comfortable and not all eat up with fle bites. by on 05/03/2009
  • happy schnauzers
I keep Capstar on hand now. We had a terrible flea infestation last summer, and NOTHING helped much until we tried Capstar. It's great! by on 02/07/2009
  • Works Great
I have a ferral that goes in and out and I use this to treat him and my indoor cats before I give them Revolution. This starts killing fleas right away. Great as a pre treat. by on 11/21/2008
  • It WORKS!
I have tried everything under the sun to get rid of fleas. Within 30 minutes of giving your pet this product you can see the fleas on him/her dying. This really works! You won't be disappointed. When fleas reappear, just give your pet another pill. by on 10/29/2008
  • expensive, but works great
it stops my dog from itching within minutes, the problem is that i need to use a pill every other day or so, and at $5-$6 a pill! it's too expensive. they need to find a way to make this great product more cost effective. by on 10/27/2008

  • Inexpensive and effective
We have seven dogs and a four month old kitten. Two of the dogs have just about chewed their legs and feet off this summer due to flea allergies. We use Frontline once a month on everybody (Revolution for the kitten), but that alone is not cutting it this summer, so have added the Capstar on an as needed basis. It appears to be very safe for my pets and also doesn't cost so much as some of the other flea preventatives do. It is also easy to order online, as it does not require a prescription (the online price I can get is about half of what my vet charges, too, which helps cut pet expenses even more!). by on 08/30/2008
  • Relatively inexpensive, very helpful, very safe
Two of my dogs have been having a terrible time with flea allergies this summer, and a stray kitten we took in a month ago added another opportunity to bring fleas into the house. I give the dogs a Capstar each when they start itching (along with oral antihistamines) and within a day or two the itching subsides as any new fleas are killed. We are able to use the Capstar along with monthly doses of Frontline without fear of giving them harmful products or overdosing them. by on 08/16/2008
  • Capstar effectiveness
Capstar appears to be very effective especially using occasionally, and in combination with Frontline. We had a serious flea problem, emanating from a "critter" that got into the crawlspace, obviously undetected, then eventually into the house and my poor pug. Got rid of that problem and only later learned about Capstar. Now using, every other week for a few days, as supplemental to Frontline. No problems at all! by on 08/09/2008
  • Very good stuff, i would buy it again
It was the best stuff i have used on my little dog, she no longer has flees, i would recommend anyone trying it. by on 08/07/2008
  • Outstanding
This product is very effective. I live in an area that has a high infestation of fleas and ticks because it is next to pasture land which is frequented by wild animals as well as cows. Without Capstar, life would be miserable for my pets as well as myself. by on 07/05/2008
  • Good stuff!!
This is a wonderful product to rid your pet of a flea infestation!! Once fleas are dead, use a once-a-month product to prevent reinfestation (and don't forget to treat your house and yard). by on 06/28/2008
  • works for me
We have 3 cats, one of which is alergic to liquid form flea drops therefore I cannot use them on any of my cats since they all wrestle and fight. This pill works and doesn't affect the allergy of the one cat! It takes some getting use to seeing them fidget like they do as the fleas are dying but is worth it! I give them the pill, let it work, brush them, then vacuum. Have been using as often as needed with no side effects. Thank goodness for some relief to their scratching! by on 06/28/2008
  • Capstar does work wonders
My 2 dogs had fleas and I had tried just about everything out there. I gave them each 1 tablet and within 40 mins. the fleas were dead! I was truly amazed at how fast it worked. I think this is a great product and worth the money. by on 06/24/2008
  • i was really shocked
this is the first time i have ever tried capstar and i was really surprised.. my cat took the pill down easy..then i started seeing fleas falling off of her..she let me get them off and then i just started cleaning..she feels 100% better and so do i.. thank you for this small pill that really works wonders by on 06/21/2008
  • Best Ever
This really works in conjunction with Program - Capstar gives immediate relief and then Program keeps the eggs from hatching and other fleas from attacking our pets. by on 06/06/2008
  • Worth Getting!
Our vet had us try it on on our cat and we did. It is worth the price! Our cat took the pill with no problems since they are small enough to hide in a cat treat. Thirty minutes later she was running around the house and would not settle down. We picked her up and started to comb her and the fleas that came off were all dead or dying. by on 05/29/2008
  • A quick fix!
The first time I ever saw Capstar in action was when I was rescuing a stray and my vet gave her a Capstar pill. The dead fleas RAINED off of her! Since then I give my five dogs a pill when the fleas simply get ahead of Advantage and Frontline here in tropical Florida. Probably too costly for everyday use, but when you want to KILL those fleas, this is the answer. by on 05/18/2008
  • Capstar flea tablets
As soon as my dog starts scratching or biting the same area, which isusually his hind quarters, I give him a capstar and after 20 -30 minutes, his scratching stops. They work great!!! by on 05/17/2008
  • Excellent product
We give Capstar and the fleas are gone within a half hour or so. Safe to use every day if needed. When we treat our dogs, we bug bomb the house and all bugs are gone. Off the dogs, out of the house!! Capstar one of the best products we've ever used. by on 05/17/2008
  • Great product; temporary relief
I thought the pill form was great. The fleas were just falling off my dog, however by the next day, she had fleas again. The product works, but I am looking for something that needs to be given monthly, not daily! by on 05/05/2008
  • A DAILY PILL.
I THOUGHT IT WAS WONDERFUL UNTIL MY VET SAID IT IS A DAILY PILL (TO BE GIVEN DAILY). NOW I'M CONFUSED! HELP! by on 04/30/2008
  • Hate messy liquid behind the neck products
I have found Capstar to be efficient at killing fleas and not making flea control a nasty monthly occurance. My cats avoided me after putting on the liquid behind the neck and now not a problem, I just add a pill to a tablespoon of wet food (treat once in a while) and voila no fleas. Love it . by on 04/23/2008
  • High flea season
This Capstar helps to control fleas during the summer flea season. This helps between washing or going into high grass areas, where fleas are abundant. I use K9 Advantix also, but it doesn't seem to solve the problem all the time.. by on 04/05/2008
  • IT WORKS
MY FRIEND GAVE IT TO TRY ON MY DOG AND WE ALL HAD A FLEA PARTY! IT ONLY TOOK 15 MINUTES AND THE FLEAS DROPPED OF THE DOG!!!!!!!THANKS KIMO, KITTY by on 03/28/2008
  • This only kills adult flees!
If your dog is infected, like my 2 dogs were and still are, I think you need to know before buying this product the ADULT FLEES are what it kills, leaving the babies and eggs to rehatch and start all over again. This works for instant relief and I do recommend them for that but for dogs that you need to get rid of flees and keep them off, you might want to get something else! by on 03/17/2008
  • UNBELIEVABLE!
This product is amazing! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. A friend suggested using Capstar. I took his his advise, and was astonished at how quickly it worked. It was somewhat humorous with one of my cats, a female because she started running around the room frantically. She settled down after about 30 minutes...thought she was gonna lose it...Lol! by on 01/18/2008
  • i works great
i bought it for my dogs because my older dog has flea alerge and it work great no fleas like 30 to 40 mins after it was taken by on 10/19/2007
  • Dead Fleas in30 Minutes!
You will see a pile of dead fleas around your pet in 30 minutes. Works great as initial killer and follow up with a once a month type such as Advantage. by on 10/12/2007
  • A lifesaver!
I have three dogs and had a flea infestion for an entire year. I sprayed inside, outside, bathed them weekly and applied those messy expensive drops and nothing worked except the Capstar. I give them weekly doses and have not had one flea on them since. It is fantastic!!!! by on 09/26/2007
  • Love theses things

  • Works Great!
My vet recommended this for my cats because they were having flea problems. Within 10-15 minutes the fleas start dying & 1 dose kills all the fleas on them. The tablets are small so are easy to hide in food . by on 12/31/2005

I purchased this product for my dog whom had fleas and I tried everything from flea baths, collars, spot drops you name it I tried it. I was SHOCKED to see all the fleas were dead in about 20 minutes. I took my dog to the vet for a check up and asked if these pills were safe. She said 1 and she also recommends them. They are good for a quick kill which is extremely helpful to buy you time for other flea products to take affect. I recommend this product 500%. It also gives your pet relieve from all the itching. BUY IT. IT WORKS. by on 11/06/2005
