in New York City. It was suspected Jake had rabies, and plans were made to put the dog down when
The Lexus Project, an animal advocate group, came to Jake's rescue. Following a trial last Friday, Jake has been sent home with Robin Mittasch, President & Co-founder of The Lexus Project, according to their
Facebook page.The Lexus Project and the
Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals will take Jake to the vet for further checkups and treatment, and The Lexus Project will continue to fight for Jake to be sent to a foster home ready to take him in in Maryland. They're due back in court on
Dec 3.

CORRECTION - Jake never went into the home of Robin Mittasch, he was moved under her legal custody to another facility where he could wait out his quarantine.Jake and his team are due back in court on
