When you have a diabetic animal it is nice to be able to get a safe food to feed them. I see so many going to regular foods in stopped using because they were unhealthy.

This has been a literal life-saver for my dog (13 year old miniature schnauzer). He was diagnosed with diabetes about 9 months ago and this was recommended by my vet. I was a little worried that he might get tired of the same flavor all the time (he's odd in that he likes variety in his canned dog food) but that has not been the case. He devours it right away. I will say that the recommended serving sizes here seem a little high. He is 20 lbs. and I give him half a can a day mixed with some of the Royal Canin Glycobalance Dry Dog Food. If I only used this I would probably give him a full can a day, not the two recommended here. It has really done the trick in keeping my little boy healthy!! I cannot recommend this highly enough!!

Was having a difficult time when we had to switch to diabetic dog food because my mother's dog wouldn't eat it until we purchased this kind. She really loves it. Just wish they had more flavors to switch things up a bit. It is less expensive on here than going to PetSmart. You can save hundreds of dollars, depending on how much you buy.

I love the fact that I can get a case delivered to my door for less than the local pet stores and free shipping. My pup seems to like the food, thank goodness!!

the food is fantastic and helps keep his sugar level low. but i do not understand why it keeps going up in price. people like to give there dogs or cats the food they need but at this rate i will need to find another food to fed. it is getting to expensive almost to buy when you pay 3.39 a can of dog food that's a lot of money. there has to be some way that you can make it more affordable for people to buy. when you need to buy insulin needles and then dry and can food there is nothing left to buy my food.

I really like the RC that the vet prescribed. it is a shame that petsmart never has it in stock but i will use petcare from now on.

If you must feed your dog diabetic dog food I would recommend this one over the others, such as Hills. Royal Canine is very expensive which is the downside but diabetes is an expensive condition. This food looks better, smells better and tastes better to my baby. So to me, it's worth the extra money.
