I recently bought my first bag of the new formula, and I believe it is making my dog sick. After a few days, she developed diarrhea and has since been reluctant to eat the food. We've been feeding this to her for all of the 3 years we've owned her, and this is the first time we've had a problem. She had similar issues when we first got her from a rescue, but it went away after a few days of feeding Beneful, so I hesitate to change brands. I hope this clears up soon.

I posted on your dog park post on facebook and understand why you took the post down. Please remember that the weirdos come out of the cracks, not just on your post but on news sites and political sites. My rescue lab (tortured beyond belief) has been eating Beneful since I rescued her in 2007. She is now almost 10, acts like a young pup. In fact, sometimes I call my grandchildren to come and play with her because I'm a senior and can't keep up. I feel bad about the comments you got on Facebook, but remember it's the ones looking to blame something for what happens to their dogs who have the biggest complaints. Started my dog on beneful puppy food---then as she got older tried her on two different much more expensive foods---she would barely eat these foods---had frequent loose stools---and when mixed the foods together she would pick out the beneful---put her back on beneful and she is a very happy dog again! My dog liked it but when looking at the ingredients I noticed a lot of fillers. My dog was also acting hungry after I'd just fed her. I was feeding her so many cups because that was the recommendation on the bag that I felt it was over feeding her and she was still hungry. She's a Shih Tzu.

I bought this for my dog this past week and I will never feed it to him again! If I could give yall 0 stars I would. It has made my dog sick. Throwing up and constipated. When he tried to poop, blood came out. He has never had this problem before. We had just taken him to the vet before I gave him this food and he was very healthy and now he's sick! Do not feed this to your dogs! I'm taking this food back to where I got it and try to get a refund and if not then I'm throwing it away! I will never feed this garbage to my fur baby EVER again!

I made the mistake of buying this dog food and won't do it again. It's mostly corn corn meal and wheat flour. Stuff that's hard on a dog's digestive tract and there's barely any meat ingredients which should be the first ingredients in a dog food. Not a healthy dog food at all just cheap ingredients you're being overchargedone for.

I adopted my son's dog 18 months ago, a large dark chocolate bulldog mix, wonderful sweet male. Always fwd him pedigree, because my previous dogs were insane for it. Well, this one would eat it, but had no interest. On a whim I bought the beneful original, that dog now loves his food, can't wait to get it. Luckily, he doesn't try to get into the bag, but anytime I'm near it or move it and he hears the rustle of food, he is right on top of me.

My ~70lb "All American" dog likes this food and tolerates it well. I also think it's a good value. However, the serving suggestions for this size animal was WAY off....at least for my dog. Suggested serving is 3.5-4.5 cups (rare but occasional small treats) and he was quickly obese. He gets at least 20min of activity a day. We have him down to 1.5 cups per day, he appears satiated and is at a healthier weight. I'd recommend this product but you might have a conversation with your Veterinarian about serving size for your animal.

We got our two dogs at two months old from the shelter. I wanted to give them the best possible start to life, so I went with the veterinarian's recommendation of Blue Buffalo brand dog food. One of our pups started having dietary issues, as in he wasn't forming solid stool, and the vet said that was normal for some dogs, but to try another brand dog food, just in case. We did, and most of the time, he would just wait until he was starving, possibly because he didn't like the taste, and we still had the issue with the poop. This went on for 1 & 1/2 years, until we went to my brother's house, and my dog was practically inhaling their dog food! Turns out, they fed their dog Beneful, and ever since we made the switch, he hasn't had any dietary issues and is having normal, solid stool.

Hi, my name is Oreo. My Mom received a free sample of Beneful dry food for me. I didn't think I would like it, but when Mom put it in my dish, I tasted it and LOVED it. I really, really, like the wet chopped blends that I get for supper every night. I can't wait to see which flavor I get each night for supper, Mom buys lots of selections so I won't get bored with the same flavor every night.

Bought a bag of Baneful for stella, a 13lb Chihuahua/Cairn Terrier. She Likes some of the kibble, but selects those she doesn't and places them on the floor next to the bowl. I have used Purina for many years in several dogs, but upon more research, I have discovered truly how terrible it is to feed a dog this kind of food. The first ingredient is yellow corn meal and the fifth or sixth ingredient is chicken. No matter what Beneful, or Dog Chow you get from a supermarket it is all the same. If you don't believe me, look at your Beneful bag right now and check the ingredients.

Every morning I am awaken by our very eager, playful, and HUNGRY fur-baby! Macy, our 2 year old Shlelty, jumps on the bed and proceeds to demand our attention by climbing on us and giving us "kisses" until we are awake. Next comes a few minutes of playtime, followed by bowl of breakfast! Macy absoloutley loves her Beneful food and treats. She eats her food, and if it was up to her, she'd have seconds (we have nicknamed her Pigglet)! After our meal, it's off to the yard to play some more! Our dog Alie came from a pet shelter and looked skinny...not to mention had course hair that flaked and would shed. We have had our Basset for 11 of her 14 years and when we adopted her from someone, they had been feeding her Beneful all her life, and so have we. The recent allegations against Purina over Beneful concern me, but like I said our dog has eaten this all her life. It has a good amount of protein in it--more than a lot of dog foods do, and she is healthy and already outlived her life expectancy. The only thing I would like to see are more soft foods as she likes softer food.

My dog will not eat anything else. When we adopted Henry from our local shelter, we bought some expensive dog food brand for him.. he did not eat. We tried several other brands... no go. He would only eat the soft fancy food from the vet, but we wanted to transition him to dry food. We tried a lot of different dry foods with him. He turned his nose up to all of them. finally I bought Beneful, because of the package label that read it contained "moist bits" and I thought he'd go for it. And he did! He will not eat anything else. He also loves the "hugs" treats. They are his favorite. I didn't realize that I adopted such a particular dog, until one day I offered him honest to god--REAL bacon, and he spit it back out! He prefers Beneful over ACTUAL bacon. I truly love my pet and for that reason I try to give him the best food I can. So, bought the most expensive of several brands and he got ear mites from it, threw it up, etc. A friend suggested Beneful plus I got a really good coupon from the newspaper. I buy Beneful Healthy Weight and he has lost weight he gained at the pound (he's a rescue) plus no side effects. Most importantly he loves it and reminds me of his feeding times everyday. His inner-clock is remarkable! Jake is a Puggle (pug beagle mix) and a wonderful little dog. I want only what is good for him and hopefully what he likes. I have found both.

Bear loves this food, he is happy, beautiful and playful, comparing to the ingredients in other foods like those that claim benefuls first ingredients are not real this that or the other, I say they are not telling the truth. Beneful is an excellent source of goodness and the only dog food for Bear. On behalf of Bear, thanks for the benefits of beneful.

Chloe and Smurf love this dog food. I was out of state for 6 months came back the dogs were in someone else's care lost weight so put them on Beneful they gained weight and look good and healthy. I buy the 15.5 lbs it lasts for a month.

I received this product as a sample in the mail. I have two Yorkie's. The bigger of the two loves them. The jury is out on the smaller one. She is usually pretty finicky but comes around. I can say that the Cat loves them. She even pushes the dog aside to eat them. lol Thank you.

I bought a bag of beneful healthy smile dry dog food and my dog, Max, (he is a rat terrier) ate it and seemed to like it but then we tried beneful original dry dog food and he loves it too. We are going to try the other kinds of beneful also. We had him on Iams and he actually liked it too, but we wanted to let him try different varieties and beneful has a few to choose from. thank you beneful for your products! I have 3 dogs, a Shih tzu, a Boston terrier and an English Mastiff! We have always fed Beneful but one of our friends talked us into trying another dog food. Immediately I noticed a difference in all 3 animals!! The mastiff lost weight, the Shih tzu's coat was a lot less shiny and my Boston terrier broke out in a horrible rash and hives. We immediately changed back to Beneful and within days my mastiff is gaining weight, the Bostons hives are going away and the Shih tzus coat is beginning to look better! This is simply the best choice for our pets!!

I rescued my Chihuahua from the Shelter 5 yrs ago where they only feed the dogs Beneful. รย I have given it to her ever since, the only food she will eat and she loves the Baked Delights. รย She won't any other doggy cookies. รย I end up giving them to the neighbors.

I bought Beneful a few weeks ago for my dog and I am so glad that I did! When I first adopted her back in April, the human society had her eating a very expensive product that I researched and found out really was not worth the money. Nola also didn't seem that receptive to it and would hardly eat it. After several trials of different food, a friend recommended Beneful and Nola just can't get enough! She has gained weight and is now a very happy and healthy dog. Thanks for making such a wonderful product. I am a fan for life!
