We switched from chicken and rice to lamb and rice for a sensitive stomach. At first they ate the food, over the last year they no longer care for it. We've tried adding water, adding treats but they just don't care for it. Now we buy grocery store brands to mix with it. We need a better tasting product.

I found out that the old recipe was flavored with pork fat. The new recipe is flavored with chicken fat. My dog will not eat any chicken, which is why we always bought the lamb and rice recipe. Now my dog won't touch his his food. I guess we will have to go through the time and expense of experimenting with other brands of lamb recipes that do not include chicken fat until I find one he will like

I recently changed my dog over from a purina food that shes been on fir many years to Hills science diet Age defying dry dog food. I folliwed my vets instructions and slowly weaned my dog over. We went threw the first 2 bags with now problem. By the time we got 3 bags in she was eating just the Hills Science Diet. When i purchased and first opened bag #3 to feed my dog she sid not eat rite away. This is Highly unlike my pup who normally gobbles all down in seconds. Eventually though, she ate the food and i didnt think much more. In the next 24 hours soft stool started. This continued for 2 days befor turning ti bloody stool. An abrubt visit to the vet uncovered no real answer other than obvious vissous diarrhea. They reccomended a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken and perscribed and anti-inflammatory/anti diarrghea medication and reccomended possible emergency vet visit if not improved in the coming days. I took my do off the Hills food and instantly she seemed to improove. After finihing the medication from the vet they reccomended slowly weaning off the chicken &rice back onto her normal diet. So i added a small bit if the Hills bag of food that we had (bag #3) and back came the issue. Back to the vet, more test...no conclusion. Stoped and went back to chicken and rice and Improvement again! Finially decided ti go back and get a bag if our old purina dog food and stated trying to wean from chicken and rice to this dry dog food....success! Vet concluded all signs lead to this bag of Hills Science diet was the ussue.....you must recall!!!!save your animals people!! DDONT FEED

Maggie Mae has always been on Science Diet. We just switched from a puppy formula to Adult 1-6 small & toy breed ( lamb & rice ). SHE LOVES IT!!! Anyone interested in Science Diet I would highly recommend it ( also recommended by my vet ). She has always had nice firm stools, shiny coat, food is small and easy to crunch, and she has never had any health problems. We will definitely always stick with Science Diet! Oh yea, and it's made in the USA!

I began feeding this to Jinx, my 9 lb Yorkie, about a year ago when I got him. He likes it and has done well on it. Hill's Science Diet has been my dog food of choice for many years. My Golden lived to be 17, my Jack Russell 15, and my mixed breed Poodle/Spitz also 17.

I have a pup that had terrible digestion problems. I was always cleaning up loose stools even with chicken and rice. Hill's Science Diet was recommended to me by my vet after the chicken and rice didn't work. Thank Goodness for Hill's Science Diet!! Worked like a charm and he loves it!! He's so much happier now that his belly feels better!!

I have rescues - Jack (Rat Terrier mix), Jill (Miniature Pincher mix), Leo my foster (Chihuahua mix) and I dogsit 5 days weekly Zollie (purebred Miniature Schnauzer.) They all transitioned easily to this brand. They readily eat their portions. I have seen no upsets due to eating this product. I did notice they eat less than other brands but have had no difference in weight. This revelation lets me KNOW this is the best product and best value for my babies!

I have tried many different brands but this is the only one my little chihuahua will eat. He is quite fussy. The largest size lasts him around 9 months. His coat is shiny and he is very active. I feed him the Lamb and rice recipe for toy breeds. I love the fact that I can sometimes get a coupon for his food.

My dogs love this food so they cant wait tell it is time to eat. I have never had any problems with the food. I love the fact that there is food made for the toy breed. My dog sometimes has trouble chewing the normal dog food but this is just right for her.

Our dog loves your dog food! When our daughter was visiting, she fed her dog the Hill's Science Diet. Eboni "snuck" some out of the bowl and continued to get into it. Finally, after we realized how much she liked it, we decided to make a switch. She now eats the entire bowl and doesn't leave a morsel. Glad we made the switch, she's happier!

My yorkie has always had a sensitive stomach and we have had a hard time finding a brand of food that he can eat and keep down. Science Diet small breed/toy Lamb and Rice does the trick. He loves it and can keep it down. The size is perfect for him so he doesn't get choked up, which we have also had problems with on other brands. So glad we found the right food!

This is the only dog food my Schnoodle has ever had and he has maintained his health and energy throughout his 7 years. He prefers the small bites and the lamb and rice combination has been good for his coat and ears. I would highly recommend this product!

My two dogs love the taste of this food. I had no trouble switching them over to this variety. I like that there aren't any questionable ingredients in this food that are found in soo many other brands. The immunity support is a definite plus!

I have always had little dogs so I was excited to see a toy breed food come out from Science Diet. Of course, they always have a high quality of food available, but it was nice to see something specially formulated for my small breed dog. The small kibbles were easy for him to eat and he loves the taste. Plus I like knowing he is getting the high quality of food I expect from Science Diet.

My very finicky shih tzy rarely will eat a dry kibble, but seems to eat this variety better than most. The kibble size is perfect for small breeds, and I glad to have a food that she will eat. She normally turns her nose up, but was interested in this food from the first feeding. I hope she continues to eat it.

I have two miniature pinschers and they are both picky eaters so I wasn't really surprised when they wouldn't eat this food. My older one wouldn't eat it at all, and the younger one would eat about half and leave the rest.

Ever since we brought our Shi Tzu Wicket home as a pup we have feed Science Diet Small Breed to him and the other dogs that have become part of our family. That was 7 years ago and I will feed nothing but Science Diet to our fur babies. Could not recommended it enough!!
