My Vet recommended this food for my 8 year old male Ragdol mix who had serious bad breath. It's not 100% gone, but it's so much better and he loves the taste. He eats 4 small meals a day and one of them is this food.
by Debra Sanderson on 02/20/2024
Itโs delicious! Iโm cavity free at 19 years old and I always have fresh breath.
by Sable on 12/09/2023
Our cats have been on this food for most of their lives (they're 10) and it's done a good job of helping their inherited poor teeth.
by Ann on 12/05/2023
My vet recommended this product and we have used Hill's urinary cat kibble for years with no issues. My cats love it and the size is small and perfect for a cat's teeth. However, when this bag came and I opened it up and saw how large the kibble was, I thought I had been accidentally sent the dog version! But, no, it's the cat on the bag. My cats will not touch it and look at me with disgust. I've tried for weeks. I am returning it and asking my vet for an alternative. I'm very disappointed in this Hill's product.
by Ashes on 02/16/2023
I am a vet and I own 5 cats. I recommend this to ALL owners of cats. It is 270 cal/cup so is considered very low in calories (most cat foods are 400-600 cal/cup) and my cats LOVE it. There is no wrong reason to feed this to your cats unless they have medical conditions!!
by Hogtown Dogtor on 09/07/2022
Cat loves them, have used for five years. Vet finds no problem.
by Richard e. White on 08/30/2022
My cat has been eating t/d dental for several years based on vets recommendation. He loves it! Dental exams are good. Unfortunately the quality control of this product is very inconsistant. Just open the bag and you can see the differance between one and the other. Sometimes the color is diiferent, sometimes there is a coating on the food that is not there usually. As you might guess, my cat will not eat these odd looking and often odd smelling batches. If I buy another bag and the fool looks like it usually does my can is thrilled to have his regular food back. It's a bit expensive to be throwing out and replacing a bag of food because the quality and consistancy is off. Honestly I feel a refund is due from Hills. As much as my cat loves this food, it's hard to recommend based on the inconsistant quality.
by Rex on 07/12/2022
My cat is 5 years old now and he has been eating this as his main food since he finished kitten food. His teeth are beautiful - whiter than mine! He loves it so much the kibble can be used as treats as others have said. He seems very healthy all around and will probably keep eating this his whole life.
by CH on 04/18/2021
My Vet prescribed the Prescription Diet t/d and it has literally saved the teeth on this Resorption prone kitty. It was first thought that all the teeth would have to be pulled but a good cleaning and a steady daily diet of 10 morsels a day (as her daily snack/treat) of this Hills Prescription Dental Care t/d dry food keeps this kitty's teeth and gums in good condition. The Furry Mona Lisa is a happy camper - Thank you Hills Prescription Science Diet Dental Care!
by The Furry Mona Lisa on 08/16/2017
There's no question both of my cats have really liked this food over the years. Unfortunately, as they age and lose weight, I have noticed the caloric content is quite a bit lower than other foods (not a problem for a lot of cats I know). Trying to get them to switch to other higher calories foods has been tough though, as they seem to like this the best.
by Alzeeh on 08/07/2017
My vet recommended that i have my senior cat's teeth cleaned. It involved blood work and other tests before being anesthetised. I tried t/d before I put her through that. One year later the vet couldn't believe the difference! So happy I tried it. She loves it and she is a REALLY finicky eater.
by KissyKat on 07/18/2017
I'm a vet tech and I was very surprised by how the food has been designed to work as a way of promoting a food to help in a sense "brush" their teeth. Both my cats can be finicky even when trying to do a slow transition to new products either food or treats. They both love this food. My cat Treble is my more particular cat and he ate this without hesitation. The kibble is larger than most common cat foods, which I do think can be a reason why some cats may not like it. Overall, most cats seem to really find it appealing in the smell and taste. Highly recommended for pet owners concerned about their pets teeth/dental health.
by ZuriandTreble2016 on 10/14/2016
I have great expectations for this food. My pet loves it. This is what it needs it. I know a health improvement will reflect in his next vet visit. Thanks for TD
by Vero on 08/17/2016
Fed this to my cats for many years. Great way to keep their teeth and gums in healthy condition and avert cost/risks of aneasthetized cleaning. Would give it five stars if it was produced in a second flavor
by Anne on 08/06/2016
Our vet recommended T/D for our flame point Siamese mix to keep her teeth clean. We have three other cats and they all prefer it to their other food.
by LAUREL on 07/19/2016
Our cat had to have her teeth cleaned before she was 2 years old. Since eating t/d no more cleanings! She is 7 1/2 now.
by Madjazz on 07/18/2016
This food was suggested by my vet after my cat had a professional dental cleaning. I use it as a light supper at night and a midnight snack in addition to his wet food. He LOVES the taste and the food does not upset his stomach or cause him to throw up. He comes and gets me each night when he is ready for it. I hope that it is helping to keep his teeth cleaner in addition to me brushing them.
by ParisGirl on 07/14/2016
My cat's teeth are much whiter and he really likes the food.
by Kerri on 07/10/2016
We love this cat food, and so doesn't TC our black and white cat. He can't get enough, and his teeth are in great shape, he's a very happy cat. All Creatures Veterinary Hospital recommended this, it can't be found at pet stores, so glad they did, he's a very healthy funny little cat.
by Goomba on 07/09/2016
Our cat is 18 years old and she's been fed Prescription Diet t/d for many years as a nightly treat. Her main meal is w/d which she has been fed twice daily also for a number of years. Since she's been on these foods, she has not had any urinary tract issues and her teeth are plaque free and her gums are pink and healthy.
by swalker759 on 07/09/2016
My wife and I are proud owners of three house cats. Early this year the "Kids" went in to their doctor's office for their yearly physicals. Their doctor said all was well with them, however, the concern was the plaque developing on their teeth. It was suggested, to brush their teeth with weekly regularity, I expressed the concern of the suggested tooth brushings. The doctor suggested the your Prescription Diet T/D Feline be tried instead. Six months later, the doctor announced that the plaque on all three cats was gone, their gums were in great shape. So, now I'm devoted to your product which has helped the "Kids" greatly with their oral hygiene. Thank you.
by mbrahar on 07/09/2016
Our vet suggested we add this to our cat's diet. I thought he wouldn't like it so we mixed his old food with it. He ignored the old food and just picked out the nuggets of new food!
by KenF on 07/07/2016
Our vet prescribed our cats this teeth food. They have been doing well on it. We havnt had to have their teeth cleaned by the vet again.
by Jess on 06/30/2016
My cats have been eating the TD Dry for many years. They love the flavor and I love the benefit of few if no dental issues! I discovered this food based on the advise of my veterinarian, Dr. Thieme of Seiler Animal Hospital.
by M7491 on 06/30/2016
Our Vet recommended to help with their tarter control to give them the t/d food. they now come begging for it.
by Steven on 06/29/2016
Ever since my cat has been eating t/d dental, his teeth are so white. The vet doc is very pleased with the results.
by Phoenix on 06/29/2016
My cat has been eating this for five years and her teeth are still perfect and she loves it
by Tricia on 06/29/2016
I bought this for my cat's dental health. I give it to him as a treat and he loves it.
by Mdavi on 06/29/2016
My vet recommended this food my my last pair of cats. My male cat has had a urinary tract infection and my female had plaque and couldn't be put under to have her teeth cleaned because of a heart murmur. After switching to this food - no more urinary issues and cleaner teeth. And they lived the taste - wouldnt eat their old food if were offered. I got this for my new pair of cats and they also love the taste - when I mixed this with their kitten food to transition them to it, they went right for it & wouldn't eat the kitten food. It's not 100% perfect for plaque - my last female was never perfect (but did improve) and my new female has some plaque, but she is also at a higher risk because she has an extra tooth.
by Bananas on 04/26/2016
dry cat food does not clean teeth. If your teeth are dirty would eating pretzels clean them. I don't think so. This food is not good.. Cats cannot digest corn ,by products and sugar. This food is not good for cats.
by flora bella on 02/27/2016
my cats like the food, but it is very hard to get coupons for the food
by consue62 on 09/24/2015
I have owned (or been owned by) 6 cats in the past 10 years. The only ones that have needed dental cleanings are the ones that, due to other health issues, have not been able to eat t/d. All of my cats have LOVED the food. One of them, who had never been very food motivated, actually climbed into the bucket and started eating the first time I brought a bag of it home. That same cat is now 11 years old, has never had to have a dental cleaning, and has almost no tartar or plaque on her teeth.
by LishaLu on 09/21/2015
This is for the post from The Big Guy from 9/10/15. If you purchased that bag from your vet, bring it back for a full refund! Seriously. Hill's guarantees their products 100%. No I am not paid by Hill's to say this. I know of this because I am a retired Vet Tech. If you purchased product on-line, contact them & tell them the problem & try to get a refund. It is a bit of a concern sometimes to order on-line because you do not know how long it's been hanging around the warehouse, or being subjected to temperature changes that can affect the product during shipping, or if there was a very small hole/tear that air could of gotten into & oxidize certain ingredients. Hope this helps & good luck! There are other dental dry diets, ask your vet what other option would be good for your cat.
by makoone on 09/20/2015
I started buying this for my cat when she was young. She is 8 now and the vet always comments on how good her teeth and gums look. She is 8 years old now.
by Vinatage68 on 09/16/2015
As a kitten our cat developed dental problems, was treated, and switched to Hill's prescription t/d. Today, at 8 years old, his teeth and gums are healthy and free of tartar and decay.
by Butter on 09/14/2015
I purchased a bag of the Prescription dry feline t/d formula recently upon the recommendation of my vet. She gave me a sample of the food which my cat enjoyed quite a bit. However, once that sample bag was gone and I went through the hassle of getting a prescription and spent a lot of money on a fresh bag, he would not eat the food anymore. He would sniff it, even take it in his mouth but then he would just spit it out. Once he even crunched it up but left the crunched up food in his bowl. Something is wrong with this food. It does not make sense to me that the food he loved so much would suddenly become so distasteful and unpalatable to him. I am thinking there may be a problem with consistency from one batch to another...? I don't know what the issue is, all I know is that I spent a lot of money for food that I was sure he would like based on very recent past experience and he won't eat it. Like I said, each time I try to give it to him he will either just sniff it and walk away, or take it in his mouth and spit it out. I am completely dissatisfied with this food and will never purchase it again.
by TheBigGuy on 09/10/2015
I had to buy a small bag from my veterinary's office last night. All 4 cats have had dental work but one has sensitive teeth and had to do a re-cleaning... my vet recommended this. When I saw how large the pieces were I didnt even know if they would eat it. They did and that is all I needed to know. They are really picky! I mix it with their regular food and so far, so good!
by KIMBACH on 09/02/2015
I have used this for both my dog that I used to have and for all my cats, and I can't say enough about how well it works. My current cat is now 8 tears old and she has eaten this since she came to my home as a rescue when she was 6 months old. She has her yearly exams and her Vet is always surprised that she has perfect teeth and never needs to have them cleaned, and I do not brush her teeth. Her teeth and gums are perfectly healthy! I will never have another dog or cat who is not fed the T/D formula, and I will never have to worry about putting them under for dental care....this formula really works and is worth the extra cost. I have recommended it to all my friends and they all love it, too.
by Calilady2 on 09/02/2015
This product is helping keep my cat's teeth and weight healthy.
by Harleycat on 07/21/2015
My two cats eat this product. The cleanliness of their teeth and gum health have improved since we started with this about 2 years ago. I am very happy with the cat food!
by Simby8 on 06/18/2015
my cat loves this product. He was diagnosed young with dental issues and my vet recommended. He eats a bag a month of this. and I sure appreciate when your website runs coupons so I can make sure he has it everyday.
by klongo on 06/15/2015
Recently I purchased a bag of Feline t/d. There was a great improvement with the way the bag closes. It is a velcro-like strip that seals the bag easily and keeps the food fresh. I wish other companies would use this method to keep their containers closed.
by Twokitties on 06/08/2015
My cats love the food. They look for more when the bowl is empty. Instead of getting a dental yearly we do everyother year and even then the tarter is less than what it use to be before T/D food. Only problem is the cost, very expensive. I will continue to buy and use though.
by CPLVT on 05/20/2015
T/D is a great diet to augment other oral preventative care. It is also relatively low in calorie and very palatable. I often use this diet for the indoor cats that need to loose some weight and owners are unable to brush the teeth on a regular basis or at all. I personally use it on my cats and obtained weight loss of 2-4 # using T/D while maintaining their oral health.
by SB04 on 05/19/2015
I am so happy that my cat loves a food that is balanced AND helps with his oral health. This is a great product!
by megsal22 on 05/19/2015
My cat loves this product and it really does help keep his teeth clean. An added bonus is that my cat is generally very fussy about what he eats and he considers this product a treat.
by jeremiah on 02/11/2015
I'm not sure this product is doing all my vet said it would do but both of my kitties enjoy it a lot. I will continue to feed this until their next next dental check-up to see if it has made a difference.
by CDCat on 12/21/2014
excellent for my cat is like this food excellent product prescription vetenary
by Andre1950 on 11/01/2014
My four cats love the taste of TD. They eat the TD nuggets first before they eat their other dry food. It is cleaning their teeth well. I'll continue to use it. A great help is the $7.00 off coupon which is found on this site. The vet does accept the coupon!
by MommaMia4 on 10/18/2014
TD has been the best thing for my cat's teeth. They are always clean and he LOVES his food! Thanks!
by SeussJ on 10/16/2014
My cat LOVES his t/d food! His teeth are in great condition. He always picks out the t/d first when I feed him. The other food he loves is Healthy Advantage (adult) by Hill's.
by Maria1 on 10/15/2014
Not only does Lorelai love it but all the other cats do too. That's great! Good taste that is good for her teeth.
by Melissai on 10/03/2014
When my veterinarian recommended Hills TD, I was a bit hesitant thinking my cats might not like it. Wow, was I wrong! The two of them loved it from the start. That was three years ago. The veterinarian is pleased with the condition of their teeth...very little plaque buildup. I have recommended it to several friends. Thank you for making a product like this.
by Tantemal on 09/29/2014
I was skeptical that my cats would eat these large sized kibbles. I worked it in gradually over a week and within the first day was noticing their old food was being left. They were selectively eating the prescription dental diet out of the bowl! So far both cats love this food and the kitty with a sensitive stomach has not had any trouble.
by AmandaK on 09/22/2014
My older cats is very picky, but loves this food. And our young cat is over weight & was recommend by our vet. Our younger cat loves it also.
by LunaOtto on 09/06/2014
I mix it w/ his normal food but sometimes he picks it out. He just loves the taste and I hope it's helping his teeth.
by sandy7 on 09/03/2014
His teeth are doing great! Even the double one has stayed clean and healthy.
by catsmeow on 08/30/2014
My vet recommended the t/d prescription food for one of my cats. He's been eating it for years now and still loves the food. The large nuggets really assist in controlling the tartar build-up. Great product
by KarenC76 on 07/31/2014
I have been feeding this product to two of my three cats for almost a year and they love it. It must be tasty as they look for it before I even get it in the dish. I like the oral health benefits of it and the fact that it is also less fattening than other hard foods that I could give them. I plan on continuing to feed them this product going forward.
by Ilsasmom3 on 07/31/2014
My wife and I are the proud custodians of four wonderful Selkirk Rex kitties. Like most kids, our furry friends enjoy their treats during the day. Unfortunately, our veterinarian would usually recommend that they have yearly dental cleanings which requires that they get knocked out. Not a good thing to have to do to them. But the vet also recommended that we start using the Hill's t/d dry food as a treat for them. What a difference that has made for the kids. Only one dental the last three years & they love the product. It also saves a lot of $$$ compared to the little bags of treats that you can buy at the grocery store. I highly recommend this product for all cat owners.
by myislandtime on 07/26/2014
Our cat has trouble with tarter so our vet recommend prescription dental health. She eats the product well along with her wet food.
by nana61 on 07/24/2014
I have fed this food for a number of years already and all 3 of my cats really love this food. I am glad they like something that is healthy for them to eat too. One cat has had several issues and has had many teeth pulled, I adopted him at an unknown age and I think he would be in a lot worse shape if he hadn't been eating the TD. My other 2 cats have not had any dental issues since eating this. Don't change your formula. Thanks
by nancy050 on 07/22/2014
My cat, Lucy has trouble with gingivitis. I discovered that she wasn't chewing the small disk type dry food. My vet suggested I feed her the t/d Dental dry food so that she would be forced to chew it. She has no choice but to chew it due to the size of each piece. It is helping to keep her teeth clean. She also loves the taste. I highly recommend this dry food.
by Gina99 on 07/22/2014
I use the feline dental food as a supplement for my instead of any other treats. She get a small can of wet food for the protein and the rest is the dry dental food, alloted to her throughout the day as a treat and a snack.. She really likes it and her teeth are staying clean. I do brush the front teeth every day, but cannot do the back and depend on the dry food to keep them clean,
by Virginia on 07/19/2014
After traumatizing my cat, Charlie, by having his teeth cleaned several years ago, my veterinarian recommended the T/D dry cat food to help Charlie keep his teeth in tip-top shape and to keep pricey, painful dental cleanings to a minimum. It has been 2 1/2 years since Charlie's one and only cleaning, and the feedback from my vet has been that Charlie's teeth are A+. His teeth and gums look amazing! Furthermore, Charlie loves the T/D food so much that he thinks it is a treat. When I put Charlie to bed each night, I take out several "morsels" of "fresh" T/D dry food (I keep it in an airtight container# and he gobbles them up and purrs like crazy! Charlie just LOVES the T/D dry food. It is truly an amazing, effective #and, apparently, delicious!) product!
by whitesc on 07/13/2014
My cat likes the product a lot, which is good for her teeth. She gets both regular wet canned food (not Hill's) and some of the dry t/d dental. It is pricey for a small budget but the downloadable coupons offset some of the cost. I would like to avoid having to have my cat's teeth cleaned at the vets for a while.
by sguttzeit on 07/10/2014
My Vet recommended T/D for my two cats Madi-Lyn and Emma Joy. Both Madi and Emma love their T/D and refuse to eat any other dry food.
by Tracyskats on 07/03/2014
A year ago my vet noticed some minor plaque on my cat's teeth and recommended Science Diet T/D to keep ahead of it in lieu of a cleaning. This year my cat got a clean bill of health on her dental check - no more plaque! Not only that but she had some weight issues and we were able to manage that with the low fat/low cal content of the food. She loves this formula. My only issue is the high cost for the amount you get.
by MaiTai on 06/25/2014
Since switching to t/d my cats' teeth are clean. My new vet was so impressed she's going to to switch her cats to it!
by ElisasMom on 06/24/2014
I voiunteer at the local animal shelter and the Hills rep recommended the Dental health for my two cats. The vet wanted to clean there teeth at a price of close to $400 for the 2 cats. Another lady at the shelter said she started to feed her cat the dental health food and at her next vet visit the veternarian never mentioned the teeth. So I will see if in a few months the dental health improves. Also they just love the food. Many thanks
by Binkyjulia on 06/22/2014
My rescue kitty has bad teeth. I know that this will horribly impact his health if this was not treated by the Vet and that improvement maintained. While he is not as fond of this food as his other Hill Science Diet, he likes it. And I know I am doing something really good for him!
by lollisa on 06/22/2014
Our cat loves this product and anxiously awaits feeding time. We have seen improvement in his oral health.
by MrCatLover on 06/17/2014
Unfortunately, I don't always have the time to brush my four cats teeth, so I'm blessed with t/d, it works and my cats love it too!!! It helps prevent tartar build up, and really works like a tooth brush! Thanks Hills!
by Sarah1 on 06/16/2014
Cats had varying levels of tartar on teeth at most recent checkup, vet recommended this food and I found coupon online. I was surprised to see the cats really like it (as they only will eat one type of dry food). I also noticed that the large size of the dry nuggets forces them to chew the food, thus cleaning their teeth. They're apparently just inhaling their usual dry food (small pieces), thus not really cleaning their teeth. It's been several months and I buy the food when I can find a coupon online, and my cats still love to eat it. Their teeth look better, and their breath is WAY better than before I bought the food.
by Princesspatchy on 06/11/2014
We have three cats from ages 4 to 2 years. Our veterinarian suggested the oldest cat have a dental cleaning. The cost was rather high, so I asked for an alternative. She recommended the Feline t/d dental health dry food. We were happy because all three cats like the food. Hills' also offered coupons so we were able to purchase our first three bags with coupons! This was a definite win-win for us. The cats are happy and we are helping them prevent dental decay.
by DebH01 on 06/07/2014
It was recommended by our vet to keep our cats' teeth clean and they like it more than the old food.
by Dave1 on 06/06/2014
I know my cats are getting the best quality and it's what my veterinarian recommends. However I wish it were less expensive so I could use it as my only source of dry food for my 5 cats. I now add a bit to their daily dry kibble.
by Vixlyn on 06/05/2014
I spend the extra for this food in the interest of caring for my cat's teeth. Dental health is a huge component of enjoying life.
by Satisfecho on 06/04/2014
I give this to my cats as a supplemental treat. All three have bought into it. They eat them immediately. My hope is that we can keep their teeth and gums healthy.
by Julie3 on 06/01/2014
My younger cat who is 3 goes immediately to the dry food. That is why I keep him on Hills Prescription Diet T/D for dental health. My older cat that is 8 is fussy. Likes less work (less chewing!!) but cannot help himself to the Hill's T/D dry food. So I am happy they both enjoy something that can help maintain their health. Thank you Hill's P.S. Love your coupons!!!
by Ritab on 05/28/2014
My husband thought I was crazy to pay so much to have dental work done on his mom's cat, Bessie -- her mouth was one inflamed mess plus some teeth needed to be extracted. Since then all our cats eat TD. It works and no more expensive vet bills. Happy cats, happy humans.
by KatRay on 05/24/2014
I started out using the t/d dental as a treat for my cat because her breath was just sooo bad. It wasn't long before she turned her nose up to her regular food and this is now the only food she will eat. The really good news is that both her teeth and her breath are much improved. Thanks!
by Szyque on 05/08/2014
It is extremely difficult to have my cats cooperate at toothbrush time. Luckily, they both love t/d and I can hear them munching on it. The large kibbles help slow the progression of tartar development, and my kitties beg for it!
by Kins84 on 05/01/2014
My 7 yr old cat Quincy has been on several Science Diet and Prescription foods in his life, but t/d is his favorite, he rubs the bag when I bring it into the house and runs to his food bowl.
by SandraR on 05/01/2014
Best diet ever! My cats have never needed a dental cleaning at the vet since I've fed T/D. This food will save you hundreds and hundreds of dollars by preventing any veterinary dental procedures. Plus its so easy to comply with!
by AmyK on 04/22/2014
Not only does this keep my cat's teeth healthy, he no longer has "fish breath"! This is our dry food exclusively. With Hill's quality and variety, they obviously put a lot of care into products for our pets!
by Trudie2004 on 04/11/2014
The reason I know that they love to eat it, because it is always gone and they are waiting for more!
by Liebchen on 04/07/2014
My cat loves them and I think they are helping keep her teeth and gums healthy. She loves the taste so I measure amount per day she gets because they're fairly high in calories.
by Buttercup on 03/22/2014
One of my cats has poor dental health so he started Hill's TD dry. My other two kitties started eating the TD because they love the taste. What I have seen are wonderful results. Not only has the TD prolonged the time between dentals on the first kitty but on all my cats. I know TD may cost more per bag but what I'm saving on dentals each year is more. Thank you Hill's for this wonderful food!!!
by pattyh on 03/12/2014
It is effective in keeping his teeth clean, but when he breaks it as he eats it, he doesn't want the crumbs--just the whole kernel. I've tried to tell him it is the same food, but he doesn't listen. Children!
by marymcclurkin on 03/09/2014
Both of my cats love the t/d dental diet and I love that it's lower in calories so they don't get too heavy. I work at a cats only vet clinic and this is one of our most popular foods; all the cats seem to love it and it does a great job helping to reduce tartar.
by sroy on 02/27/2014
According to our four cats, they love "TD" and would like it even more if we increased their daily servings. But! It is high in calories, so we must conserve the daily amounts. We have had good dental checkups since using this product.
by Bugs on 02/25/2014
Great product to keep those young teeth healthy looking! They are big enough to make my critter crunch down and keep that yucky plaque off of the teeth! More treats, less dental visits!!!!
by techie1 on 02/17/2014
I have not studied its contents, but know it's important to keep my cat's teeth clean - as free from tarter buildup as possible. I wish I could measure its effectiveness.

Both my cats LOVE this as a treat! I have it mixed in with their regular food but they always pick this out first! Their teeth still look great!

I have a multi-cat household, and one of my kitties has periodontal issues. My veterinarian recommended this food to her regimen and it certainly has helped her! My other cats love it too (even the ones that like to swallow their kibble whole...it taught them to actually chew!) I would recommend this food to anyone! They love the taste and it's great for their teeth. My cats will start tearing the bag open once I get it home if I do not put it in the closet right away!

We used this on our kitty and she really enjoyed it. It helped her gums and teeth as well!

A cat arrived who was very thin. Another "stray" that we took in the year before liked him, so he joined our family, also becoming an indoor cat. The vet said that he would probably never be the picture of health. With the help of TD he blossomed into a healthy handsome boy!

What an awesome product. We have to have our vet give our cats a dental every year & worried about having to knock them out that often. Our vet suggested the t/d product & we started using them as "treats" instead of that store brand stuff. They just love them, always begging for more. The t/d product has helped immensely with their dental care. Thanks Hill;s for the great product!!

I've had my cat on t'd since she started eating adult food. She's 6 now and has never had a speck of tartar build-up on her teeth. Definitely helping us maintain her oral health@

My kitty absolutely loves this food. So glad it helps with her dental health as well!

My tabby will soon be fourteen. My vet has never had to do a teeth cleaning! And the future looks the same. Trying to get coupons on line is from Hills is impossible. I wish coupons were available to customers on a regular basis, and easy to get online.

I have been mixing T/D diet with Science diet Adult for years - my feline is 11 years old now and has no tarter on his teeth and he continues to love it. Great value compared to price for annual dental cleanings.

I have used Feline t/d for years. One of my cats, Clipper, has the gingivitis/stomatitis complex and t/d has kept it well under control. I give it to all my cats to keep their teeth clean and to lengthen the time between professionally cleanings. I know how important good dental health is to their overall health. Feline t/d really works well and they all love it!

My 17 year old cat is prone to tartar build-up, so our vet recommended TD. She's been on it for a couple years now, and she really likes it. Keeps her teeth and gums healthy, plus, she seems to have fewer hairball issues.

I keep a covered candy dish of T/d on my coffee table (yes, I'm a crazy cat mom!) Every evening, my cats check in with me to get their measured amount of snacks. They not only love the T/D, but it's trained them to come running when I call them. Of course, best of all--no dentals needed yet. They all have pearly whites at their exams every year! : )

I started using T/D when I got my kitten off a recommendation from my vet. She already showed signs of inflamed gums at 10 weeks. She has solely been on the T/D since then and that was 8.5 years ago. She to this day has little staining on her teeth and NEVER needed a dental. I buy the 4lb bag and it lasts me 5-6 weeks. Totally worth the money since it has saved me from having to do multiple dentals and her potentially losing teeth. She loves the taste its like candy. I tell everyone that asks about it how good it has worked. Thanks!

I have had many cats and never have I had to do a dental cleaning due to the quality of this product. The cats also eat slower due to the size of the kibble.

I have two cats that both love T/D. My oldest cat is 14years and is FIV positive. He is a very difficult to brush his teeth, like most cats and that is why I chose the dental diet. Only this year I did a dental cleaning and only because his canine had a cavity. The rest of his mouth looked great and that is because of the food he is on. Thank you hills for an awesome diet that helps pet owners that cannot brush their pets teeth. It's important that as pet owners we maintain our pets teeth!

I have seen an improvement in dental health and it is very palatable for my pet.

My three cats eat it with gusto, my vet says my cats teeth and gums look healthy, I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

My cats know the t/d bag. If I leave the new bag on the floor, my two cats will rip into the bag and start eating. They love their t/d!

I know that by product meal can be a great source of nutrients, but if I'm going to pay these kinds of prices for food, I want a quality meat meal to be the first ingredient, which isn't even on the list of these ingredients. The dog version of t/d isn't much better with grains as the first ingredients. I'd rather brush my cats' teeth then feed them this. It's cheaper and more effective, even if it's terribly difficult. I might consider buying this if a meat meal was the first ingredient or if Hill's grains were GMO free.

Seems to work for cat's teeth, they haven't really had issues since using it. It's very expensive, however. And my cats seem to be getting bored with the same dry food every day, unfortunately.

I have four cats now, & they get their teeth done every year or every other year & have teeth pulled because of cavities so I'm trying this product to see if it helps with their dental issues. They enjoy chewing the bigger pieces, which is better for their teeth instead of swallowing the smaller food that I used to give them. It makes them eat slower also.

Both of our adopted cats had gum issues when we brought them to be checked out. Like anything that is good for you, I feared my cats would be uninterested in their prescription dry food. Conversely, they love it and prefer it to their old, premium dry food. My younger cat went from a condition in which she might need about six teeth removed to only two, due to her improved gum health over several months of eating t/d. The older cat needed one out rather than two. Worth every penny!

We adopted our 3 cats as litter mates from our vet. He suggested that we use T/D to help clean their teeth. They are 7 1/2 years old now and have excellent checkups, particularly regarding their dental health. I realize that this food would suffice as their only food, but prefer to use it as treats, while primarily feeding wet food. They love it! They play with it! And we are delaying, hopefully for a very long time, the anesthesia and dental treatments at the vet, as well as keeping them generally healthy because their dental health is excellent. (I do not brush their teeth or use any other dental care for them.) Our four previous cats did not have this benefit, and as they aged, needed expensive and traumatic dental cleanings at the vet. So, although at first skeptical, I am convinced that this advance in pet food is good preventative care for their dental and general health.

Our 12 year old cat has been enjoying t/d Treats for years. She loves them and receives usually eight of them per day put into her regular dry food. She can "glean" them out first every time. Her coat is gorgeous, her teeth are complimented by the veterinarian, and she has never had a professional dental cleaning. She has tired of other menu items but her fondness for t/d treats has always remained high. A vet at a cat clinic in our former city recommended these for her oral health over nine years ago and she has never been without them since.
