My cat was blocked from struvite crystals or stones and he had to get unblocked and was at the hospital for over one week. It cost me a lot and now, because he refuses to eat this food that could save his life, he might die or cost me another arm and leg! Please bring out more flavors! I would still recommend this food going other cats would eat it and save lives.

My cat has done well on the s/d, but he is not a fan of chicken flavor; he never has been. He has preferred seafood flavors his whole life. While I appreciate what the s/d does for him, it'd be nice to have at least another flavor available for picky cats. We had to switch to a competing brand so that he would actually eat.

I bought s/d cat food per my vet's instructions. My cat ate it the first two days, and ever since he will not come near it. I've tried mixing in some broth or bits of chicken (which he loves) and he still won't eat it. I tried dry s/d as well to see if he would eat it, and he rejects that too. While the flavor may be acceptable for some cats, unfortunately my cat won't touch it.

Recommended by our vet for one of Siamese babies. He is back to his old self, not more blockages, no surgery!

Our beautiful boy had two bouts of bladder problems before he was diagnosed. The S/D wet and dry keeps him problem free. He was a year old when diagnosed, and we thought we were going to lose him. He is a happy, healthy 7 year old now. We appreciate the discount coupons from Hills.

Been using this item as prescribed by his Vet. Lewie was in a lot of pain and was having accidents on a daily basis. I knew it wasn't behavioral. After several visits to the Vet, we were recommended this diet for him. We feed him both the wet food and the dry companion of the Urinary Diet.". It took a couple of weeks, but he is happy and healthy again! He also likes the taste.

Like other posts, my cat had blood in her urine and was peeing outside her box. I was feeding her conventional dry food at the time. The vet determined she had a urinary stone and suggested this product. The symptoms disappeared almost immediately and have not come back. I use both the canned and dry food exclusively now. We got a 2nd cat and I feed him the same thing. They are both about 10 years old. They love the stuff too!

This worked really well for my patient! Was able to dissolve a struvite bladder stone in 4 weeks based on radiographs. My patient was notably more comfortable within a week and loved the taste per the owner! Will definitely try this in the future for suspected struvite bladder stones vs going straight to surgery!

My vet recommended this for two months. My cat ate c/d but wont eat this. No dry food only wet s/d. I work 12 hour shifts and had to force feed my cat to eat this . After being refrigerated trying to feed him the remainder of the can which is 5 x the price of friskies, . I feel like I'm torturing the cat shoving food down his throat and making a mess. I don't even know if this is effective. My cats UA didn't show stones but he is miserable when he has symptoms. So I'm willing to try this. I wish he could like the taste.

My cat has a laundry list of problems and does not empty his bladder well. At age 9 he began to have crystals in his urine. There was blood in his urine and occasional infections. He was quite uncomfortable and I was at a loss about what to do for him. The Vet bills were passing from the usual well into the thousands. His neurologist suggested Hills SD. It seemed to work overnight. Tim was no longer uncomfortable, and in a week the blood was gone from his urine. I have trouble complaining about the price when I think about the Vet bills I would have incurred. Thanks Hills!

My cat was recently diagnosed with a bladder stone. The vet recommended s/d dissolution to try to dissolve it. It's main ingredients are pork - cats don't eat pork. My cat won't touch it, even when I mix only 1 tsp into a 6-oz can of his favorite regular food. Consequently, my cat has to have surgery. If you want to make a product that a cat will actually eat, PLEASE make it with fish or fowl. In addition, this product stinks to high heaven - my entire house stinks.

My cat seemed to enjoy it and it helped with the urinary tract problems

AFTER WEEKLY VISITS TO THE VET BECAUSE OF MY CAT GETTING BLOCKED WE FINALLY TRIED THE FELINE S/D WET. THE RESULTS WERE INSTANT AND HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM IN 8 MONTHS. THIS PRODUCT HAS TRULY SAVED MY CATS LIFE.

I have needed to use this product 2 times over the past 3 years. While I wish my cat didn't need it. The s/d can has taken care of my cats health problems. She loves the taste and begs for more. She did refuse to eat the dry option of this prescription diet.

I am pleased with the results of this product. My cat seems to be doing much better. However when we switched to the dry food, although my cat likes the food, the price of the product was way more than I had anticipated. I understand that it is a prescription food, but at 18+ dollars a bag, i should think that the bag could be filled at least to almost the top. I was surprised at how much air there was in the bag compared to food. The bag is nearly half air. I will continue to buy this product at my veterinarians recommendation, and because my cat is sick, but for the price of the food, the quantity is lacking and I would be so pleased if the bag was at least 3/4 full. Thank you, -Pedro's Mom

I actually don't know how to rate this product because the jury's still out. I won't know if this food dissolved the stones for another couple of weeks when a follow up exray is taken so I won't know any of the answers to your questions until then. All I can tell you right now is that my cat likes the food and is eating it fine. If the stones are gone then the product is well worthi the money.
