These treats are the perfect size for my Golden. She loves the taste of them and is always asking for more. As a pet parent, my goal is to find treats/food that are healthy AND to help her with her mobility. Trixie was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia so finding treats that help her with weight management and mobility is awesome! This is a welcomed addition to her Hills Prescription Diet Metabolic and Mobility J/D food. So glad that I found them!

I have a now 5 year old Chihuahua, who's wonderful, but very picky with her food. I tried everything that was supposed to be good for her, she didn't like any of them. She loved Metabolic from the first time. Whether it's the flavor or the size (big chunks), she loves this food!

Pixley my 7 yo English Springer Spaniel lost 12 pounds in about 8 months and now maintains a healthy 50 pounds. Even though the Metabolic food and Metabolic treats are both pricey, they both do a great job in providing a healthy weight loss and maintenance program. If coupons would be available that would help seniors on a fixed income.

Rusty never turns his nose down when I give him this treat. When I take the bag form the shelf, he now comes running for his treat. My only wish is that the treats were smaller. I find that when you break then so that you can give one piece now and the other piece later, they seem to crumble. Also they aren't the easiest thing to break with your hands. I also like to use the wet metabolic to give his medicine in. The product I used to use had more calories than I realized until my Veterinarian and I started adding up what he was eating everyday. Now is just thinks he's getting another treat.

We have used this product for a few months now and the results are good. We have tried putting our little guy on diets and cutting back on food and treats but nothing really worked. This product does. He's full and he's losing weight.

These treats are too large and hard, even for my golden. I try to break them in half, which takes a knife and hammer (honest), and I lose a lot because the crumble and break off. She is allowed 2 per day, and I could make 4 per day if they just made them smaller. 38 calories per treat is just way too many calories at one shot for her to gobble up in a flash. Dogs don't measure the size of what you give them, why not make them smaller so they could enjoy a treat more often? If they were made smaller, I would recommend.

This review is more of an update...3 weeks ago I put my "pleasingly plump" poodle on the Metabolic diet. She receives the Vet recommended amount of the canned food and 1 of these treats each day. Her diet was started on February 6, 2013. I took her to the Vet for her "weigh-In" on Feb. 26, 2013.....I held my breath with anticipation as we put her on the scale....Hallelujah! Peaches has lost 1.3 pounds in 3 weeks! I am ecstatic! I have nothing but praise and kudos for Hills for bringing this Metabolic weight loss system to the public. It truly works! I have tried to get Peaches to lose weight for about 2 years now with no success up until Metabolic diet was introduced. Not only is she losing weight, but her energy level has increased. Instead of her laying on the couch all day, she now gets up and plays toys again and is trotting through the yard with her sister (a maltese). This is MAJOR progress for a toy poodle who should weigh 6 lbs but started this diet at 11 lbs. Thank you so very much Hills for the Metabolic product line. If your pet is overweight - do them a favor....start them on this Metabolic diet - you have nothing to lose (but the weight of course - lol) with the Hills guarantee.
