I opened the can and to my surprise it was full the "pate" instead of the "shreds". Since obviously I couldn't taste it I have no idea what kind of flavor it was. I would recommend this flavor and type, as long as the can is not filled with the wrong kind of filling.

I have 3 cats a 19, 17, and 3 years old. All 3 are very picky eaters. I have tried every brand out there and Friskes is the only brand they will eat. My Tigger will only eat Shreds we bought Pata, Flakes, Bits. He just walks away unless there anytime Friskies Shreds and gravy. We can't find it at Wal-Marts anymore. Did they faze them out? That's a shame. My Tigger will starve without his Sheds.

Friskies may have unintentionally created a nation of gravy-addicted cats who lap up gravy and walk away from the solid food.
My cats have always loved Friskies, and now will hardly eat it, except that gravy! Something has changed! Please help us and revise whatever you did. It's been feeding chaos around here!
My solution has been to work with their kibble: a 50-50 combination of Beyond and Taste of the Wild. They really like this mixture and it's quite nutritious. I might just withdraw commercial wet food altogether and give them real chicken and the above-described crunchy mix.
I've tried many other wet cat foods, and have the same result: walking away. I wonder how many other households are dealing with this.

I recently purchased a 32 can box of Shreds variety pack for my mom and when she opened it at least 10 of the cans were terribly dented and leaking. She threw them away because she didn't know if they were any good. The carton itself did not have much damage at all or I would not have purchased it. It's a great product and the cats love it but we were very disappointed in this case. They aren't cheap and a third of them were trashed.

I purchased my cat the 32 count of the Friskies Shreds recently. Normally I am highly satisfied with this product, however this box had unopened cans that were packed in the middle of the case smashed, partially filled, and coated in mold! This was definitely an issue that happened at the packaging plant.

I purchase 300 to 400 cans per month and the easy open cans save my hands and wrists. With 9 stray cats waiting to get fed speed is another factor. My 9 seem to enjoy the taste of turkey and cheese in gravy more but still eat your other offerings. It is the same with your cans of pate. I buy 75 cans per month. The dry food they prefer your protein real chicken. Our winters are cold and hard on the strays and I try to give them the best so as to put fat on them and ward off the cold. My little friends enjoy your product and I thank you.

My cat, Russian Blue (10) has eaten the pate since young and likes it. However, he does not like the shreds, regardless of flavor. He laps up the gravy and leaves the shreds behind. Out of desperation and hunger he will sometimes finish most of 1/3 of a can eventually. He likes the fresh opened room temperature better than the refrigerated. Warming it in the microwave does not improve the appeal. I thought he might adapt to it over the 32 cans I bought but we are 2/3 of the way through and his response is the same. We are going back to the Pate.

I used the coupon and also purchased 2 more (total of 3) since I have 3 cats. They ate the chicken and salmon so fast I couldn't believe it! They loved it.l Next, I will have to buy some for the strays that I feed (not really strays, but country cats who's owners don't feed them enough apparently.

My cat, Boxcar Wilma (don't ask), is a little old lady cat who frail and basically has trouble with digesting her food. I've tried different varieties and so far, this type of Friskies has passed the test. She keeps it down and seems to perk up and always begs for more. Thanks guys!

My cat is picky, but he loves all the Friskies Savory Shreds and Meaty Bits! Wish that it had a little healthier ingredients, but for this price I guess I can't complain! He will eat Friskies but not the healthier, more expensive foods.

I used the coupon the first time I went to Walmart and even though they only had one variety I only had a coupon for one so it worked out fine. My cat usually eats dry cat food so any canned food is like a treat and she licked the plate clean.

They call me "The Cat Whisperer" in my neighborhood. The thirteen wonder-cats I own tell me to feed them in the morning at 9am. and again at 6:30pm.--not a minute past! FRISKIES is IT! The new turkey with bacon really satisfies their picky tummies...and they all gobble it down. Heaven help me if I do not feed them what they love. The LAST time I fed them a different name brand,.....the lights went out!

I volunteer at a shelter that feeds 150 cats each day. They get a cheaper food, but someone donated Friskies which we give only to a few finicky cats. Well, when I open the Friskie cans, ALL the cats what it! I have to fight them off! It even looks better to me, especially the shreds. And it must smell delicious to the cats.

Donno Friskies... My neighbor has 2 cats. And she says the same. I'm tired of throwing away money because so much is wasted. The same with all the other brands. What is the "Shred"... a chunk of "leather"? What a waste. And the last 3 questions on here are stupid. If I say "NO" on the free food. Why do you ask is it was worth $10 or more?
