Health Concerns

Male laperms weigh about 7 to 12 pounds while the females weigh 5 to 6 pounds. Belonging to the hardy barn stock, Laperms hardly suffer from any genetic or other disorders.

The LaPerm is most known for their fur, which is curled into tight ringlets, covering their entire body, minus the face. Even their whiskers are curled. They have a medium to large size body, with long legs and a sturdy musculature. Aside from their uniquely curly fur, they are a fairly run-of-the-mill cat, with a moderately angular head, average sized ears, and eyes that come in a number of different colors. One major upside about the LaPerm is the fact that their curly coat results in a little shedding.
