HISTORY

Developed by the Cat Club of Sri Lanka (one time Ceylon), the Ceylon Cat was brought from here to Italy in 1984, where they became an instant hit with cat fanciers. Popular mostly within Europe, this cat has become a household staple from Italy to Germany and France.

Their black-ticked golden fur is known as manilla and the design of the holy โ€œKobraโ€ on their forehead makes them revered in their home country.
