This celebration focuses to the lighter side of pet life by emphasizing the fun that can be had by playing a little dress up with your pet. This holiday goes over the safest way to get your pet into costume, and also reminds us to not force your pet to wear anything they're not comfortable in. Remember, costumes are supposed to be fun!

Most of us go idly by, never stopping to think about how our cats are perceiving what is going on around them, which to a cat, might be very strange. โ€œWhere do you go all day?โ€ โ€œWhy canโ€™t I go on the couch?โ€ โ€œWhere is your litter box?โ€

These are just a few of the questions that might be rattling around your kittyโ€™s noggin. This day is dedicated to taking some time to put yourself into their shoes (or paws?).

Change a Pet's Life Day - January 24


This day is dedicated to setting aside some time to help those pets in need, whether by adopting, becoming a foster parent, or volunteering at a shelter. Every day, thousands of pets go without a loving home or people to look after them. If we all lend a hand, we can make a huge difference.

Seeing Eye Guide Dog Birthdayย - January 29


On this day we honor the anniversary of the incorporation of The Seeing Eye, the first school for training guide dogs in America. Founded in 1929, this school will have provided assistance to the blind for 85 years, giving many of these people a sense of independence, as well as a loyal companion.
