Pugs are smart, funny, loyal, and affectionate. They are great with kids and are always ready to play. Since they are so smart, they may get bored with repetition in their training. They are also very tone sensitive, so harsh punishments can be overkill. Pugs play well with other pets, and are generally good with new faces as well. All in all, the Pug is one of the most easy going dogs around. .
Color
Pugs can be found with a silver, apricot-fawn, or black coat. Regardless of their coat color, a show dog's face should always be black. There are rumblings about allowing Pugs with brindle fur to be entered into shows, but this is still a touchy subject in the Pug community.
