HISTORY
Nebelungs, named for the German word for mist, were first bred in 1985 when two long haired, green-eyed cats with bluish grey fur, Siegfried and Brunhilde, were discovered and bred together. The Nebelung, because of their relatively new origin, is still a fairly rare breed, only found in America and Russia. Despite that, they were still registered for championship status with TICA in 1997, a mere 12 years after they were first bred.
