HISTORY
The history of the Chantilly/Tiffany breed can be traced back to two cats, Thomas and Shirley, who are of unknown origin themselves, but who both had stunning golden eyes and long fur. The result of their breeding is what became known as the Tiffany. Registered under Foreign Longhair, the breed was eventually given the boot due to low numbers, but after a resurrection by Canadian breeders, the breed made a comeback under the name Chantilly, although even now this breed is considered extremely rare.

Personality
The Chantilly/Tiffany is a fairly reserved breed, being downright shy around strangers. Around their family, the Chantilly/Tiffany is kind and warm, but they are not good in social situations. Typically a one-person cat, they grow a close bond with one owner and clearly play favorites. They play well with children and other pets, but are not great at being left alone for long periods of time, and tend to get depressed and destructive if they feel they are being neglected. .

The Chantilly/Tiffany can be found in white, black, blue, lilac, and fawn.
Health Concerns
The breed is generally very healthy, with no major health concerns. Kittens are rather slow to wean and are susceptible to indigestion if fed on high corn content food. Ears should be cleaned thoroughly as they are likely to develop wax.
Appearance
The Chantilly/Tiffany is a medium sized breed with medium-length hair, a bushy tail, a distinctive neck ruff, and ear tuft, making for a gorgeous show cat. Their eyes are loving and expressive and they have wide, droopy-tipped ears.
