Pet parents in the San Antonio area got together with their dogs on Oct. 27?, 2014, to share a meal. Paws on the Patio gave owners and their furry companions a chance to eat with one another and make plenty of new friends at Canyon Cafe in the Quarry, according to local news station KSAT.More than 200 people showed up at the event, not to mention all the dogs who were dressed in their Halloween costumes. Each dog was served a three-course meal complete with salad, an entree and a dessert. All contributions to the 12th annual Paws on the Patio event went to the San Antonio Humane Society, organization spokesperson Felicia Nino told KSAT."All of the proceeds go to the shelter, go to the animals awaiting adoption that come in and need medical attention, that need to go into foster care, all sorts of different things. Human treats for dogs
Although people may be more aware of the foods that can be harmful to dogs, such as chocolate, many don't realize there are plenty of common treats that dogs can enjoy.
