Directions
Interceptor flavored tablets should be administered once a month year-round, or at least during and one month following mosquito season; animals that are traveling for the first time to heartworm-risk areas should begin treatment a month prior. Interceptor is available in flavored chewable tablets that should not be swallowed whole (and can be broken up to prevent such a thing from happening), and can be given directly into the pet’s mouth or together with food. Dosage is dependant on weight.

In cats, the usual dose is:

- 12.1-25 pounds is 23mg
Recommendations
The active ingredient in Interceptor interacts with the GABA receptors of the nervous system of the parasites it encounters in your pet’s body, leading to their paralysis. It is effective against nematodes and arthropods.
