Comprehensive Guide To Veterinary Formula Clinical Care - Antiparasitic & Antiseborrheic Medicated Shampoo

What Is Veterinary Formula Clinical Care - Antiparasitic & Antiseborrheic Medicated Shampoo?

Seborrheic dermatitis is a type of dandruff that can occur in both humans and dogs. Seborrhea is a disorder of the skin where the skin produces excessive amounts of sebum. This causes the skin to get itchy, flaky, and scaly. The worst affected areas are usually the face, flanks, folds of the skin, and the back of your dog.

Synergylabs Antiparasitic & Antiseborrheic Medicated Shampoo treats this itchy skin condition with a powerful mixture of salicylic acid, coal tar, and micronized sulfur to provide lasting relief to your pet. It treats other skin disorders like mange, parasitic infections, and bacterial infections.

What Causes These Skin Issues in My Dog?

Seborrheic dermatitis can be an inherited or acquired disease. Breeds like West Highland Terriers, Basset Hounds, and Cocker Spaniels usually have a genetic disposition to seborrheic dermatitis. Acquired seborrhea is known as idiopathic seborrhea. This can be caused by several factors.

Your dog can have a hormonal imbalance like thyroid issues that trigger this condition. They can suffer from allergies, fungal infections, diets with insufficient omega-3 fatty acids, uncomfortable environmental conditions, musculoskeletal disease, and parasites like fleas or mange mites.

Mange mites cause demodectic mange in dogs, a skin condition characterized by chronically dry skin and loss of fur. Mange mites burrow into your dog's skin and are incredibly contagious. Demodectic mange is caused by a different type of mange mite called Demodex canis that is a normal part of your pet's skin.

This type of mange is usually passed down from mother to puppies and mostly affects dogs with a weakened immune system. Mange causes crusty yellow skin, skin irritation, thickening of the skin, inflammation of the lymph nodes, hair loss, and both bacterial and yeast infections.

The most significant issue with skin infections is that it lowers your dog's immunity and opens your dog up to more diseases. The constant itching can cause open wounds on your dog, which can turn into severe internal infections. Skin problems can cause chronic ear infections, which can lead to deafness if left untreated.

How Does Veterinary Formula Clinical Care - Antiparasitic & Antiseborrheic Medicated Shampoo Help?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care - Antiparasitic & Antiseborrheic Medicated Shampoo contains several ingredients that help treat these different skin infections' causes and symptoms. Coal Tar helps to shed the top layer of dead skin cells that reduces the itching, flaky skin, and scaling from seborrheic dermatitis.

Salicylic acid is a commonly used anti-inflammatory agent used in a wide variety of dandruff and acne products. It helps to clear out blocked pores, neutralize bacteria, and reduces pores to prevent them from clogging again. The final active ingredient is micronized sulfur.

Micronized sulfur is a multifaceted ingredient. Not only does it help to detoxify your dog's skin from all the buildup and bacteria, and it reduces skin inflammation. It soothes the rashes and irritation your dog experiences and helps to heal oxidation damage as well. The medicated shampoo treats the root cause of dandruff and mange.

The added oatmeal and allantoin soothes and nourishes your dog's skin and coat. It fights dry skin and provides intense moisture to the affected areas, promoting skin healing, and repairing the damaged skin barrier.

Finally, Synergylabs Antiparasitic & Antiseborrheic Medicated Shampoo is paraben-free to ensure the gentlest cleansing. Parabens have been linked to cancer and reproductive issues. This shampoo is formulated with the correct pH levels that soothe your dog's skin and are made entirely without soap.

Patchy hair loss or thinning coat, especially in specific areas, can be a result of fleas, ticks, mites, or even certain internal parasites like mange mites. Some internal parasites can cause digestive issues, leading to symptoms like vomiting, weight loss, or a generally poor appetite. Severe infestations or certain systemic parasites can cause dogs to become weak and lethargic and show a general decline in energy levels. Heavy flea or tick infestations can also lead to anemia in dogs, resulting in pale gums, weakness, and fatigue.

Helped my itchy pitbull with lots of allergies!
    VERIFIED PURCHASER

My dog gets quite dusty after running around the park and gets itchy after rolling in grass. I found that this helped him not to nibble on himself when itchy. The difficult part in this product is that is suggests scrubbing into the fur and waiting 10 minutes, which can be hard to do. I settle for the five he'll stand in the tub and it seemed to still do the trick.

    Great product.

Our Lab suffered horribly from dermatitis and seborrhea. After just one shampoo his constant scratching and constant flaky coat with bleeding pustules was relieved. He immediately fell asleep. We shampooed him for two weeks at three times a week. Down to twice a week. Now once a week or as needed. Very important. Followed the directions of letting shampoo sit on coat for 10 minutes then rinse. 1 there is a sulfur smell. But when you love your pet, you adjust. Tried several other brands of shampoo. None worked as good as this. We now alternate weeks with this shampoo and same brand but the "oatmeal/tea tree oil" shampoo. Been about 4 successful years of using this product.

Compare to prescription shampoo from the vet

Ever since we moved to a woodsy area, my dog has had a developed skin problem. Its been nearly five years of several different vets prescribing everything under the sun- most not doing anything for him. I will say this shampoo does give him more improvement than anything else that we use. It doesn't have the best smell due to the sulfur, but his itching lessens after use. Instructions suggest using the shampoo 3 times per week for a short time.
