My 11 year large American breed cat started to limp on his hind quarters about 2 weeks ago. A few weeks prior to that I noticed an increase in water in take and urination.
He is reminding me of the larger dogs that would typically get hip displacement in their later years.
1) Are large cats known for this as well?
2) If he has a hip displacement or rheumatoid artheritis, can cats take asprin?
3) Could the increase in water intake be because he wants to drink as much as possible when he is at the water bowl?
Hip dysplasia is very unusual in cats. Your cat shouls be seen by a vet especially if he is drinking and urinating more frequently. vetcare
