To Vet: My cat is always in good health. For the last four days she has had loose bowel movements of which is strange as she is always very constapated. I gave her pepto-bismol 1 mil. twice a day for two days and it helped but I was not sure. Anyway I have several plants in my home and it looked as if she had eaten one of them. I know that they are not poisonous but could she have gotten this from a plant? It looked like greenish slime in her stool should I take her to the vet? I bought this spray that is safe for ctas and dogs at Petco you spay it on plants and furniture and stuff. It is safe the name of it is Bitter End. If it does not stop should I take a stool sample and the cat to the vet. She is eating and stuff and also drinking water and eating her dry food. Could this have just been a virus. My boyfriend's dog had the same thing a week ago and I was at the house. Could I have carried the virus home on my shoes? Please help me out I am concerned as to what to do?
If your pet continues to have diarrhea then I recommend a visit to the vet. Diarrhea can cause dehydration. vetcare
