I have a 6 month old kitten who has been sick since the day I brough him home. He has been sneezing and had green eye slime. The vets have put him on Clavamox 3 times for 10days each, and once he finishes the medicine, he is fine for a week and back to being sick again. The last time I took him to the vet, they put him on .75 mL Clavamox for 20days. He is on his 18th day of medicine, and for the past five days, he has started getting a fat lip. The underside of his lip looks really raw and red. I am wondering if he is having a reaction to the medication... It looks horrible, and I was wondering what I could do for him. Please help!!!
Your pet probably has an upper respiratory virus. Antibiotics will only help with secondary bacterial infections but will do nothing reguarding the virus. There are antivirus medications available but they are very expensive. Your cat should be tested for feline leukemia and feline aids. vetcare
