whenever I go and pet my cat (it's a 2yr, 5mo old fixed male)on its back, he raises it a little and seems like he doesn't want me to pet him there. At times it seems like it hurts him a little. Also, I've had lots of trouble with ear mites, I think that's what they are. I've tried cleaning my cats'ears out but it never works and the medication vets want to give me cost so much. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of them?
You can try cleaning the ears with mineral oil. If you think your cats back is painful a vet should see your pet and posssibly x-ray it. It is normal for a cat to raise the back when pet or touched. vetcare
