My neutered male cat has been treated for a skin infection. The oral antibiotics have upset his stomach. He now refuses food and little water and is just wasting away. Has lost weight and I think he will die if he doesn't eat.He looks like fur over bones now.
Give him Nutrical 6 times a day to keep him going. Give him water with a syringe 2cc each time. He has not vomited in 2 days.
He refuses any food. Getting weaker & thinner.
Has been blood tested for everything. Is treatable per vet. But, won't eat.
What can we do to help him now? The vet offers no advice on his stomach distress and offers no solution with medication, as it is apparent now that he cannot tolerate the meds.
HELP needed now.
He had no diarrhea.
We are so worried he will just waste away before our eyes.
Vet thinks allergies caused his skin upset on his neck, but they shaved his neck and then....then the skin infection started in July.
Have been treating him for the lesions on his neck since July. They
I do not believe that antibiotics given to your pet caused the problem you are seeing. This sounds too serious. Your pet should have blood tests and x-rays. Hopefully the real problem will show up. vetcare
