My 3 year-old Yorkie is currently taking dexamethasone (0.25 mg) 1/4-1/2 tablet QD, hydroxyzine 10 mg BID and 1/4 baby aspirin once a day, 3-4 times a week for eczema. I also bath him once a week with a moisturizing dog tar shampoo or Denorex. Corn and wheat have been elimnated form his diet. Although this regime helps, he still chews and scrathces continuously. Is there something else I can add to his current treatment or another drug combination that will allow him to be more comfortable? Is there a food supplement availble to help this condition?
Thank you for your time.
