Dear Dr. I have 2 questions
One is I have a black lab he is a rescue dog. I got him when it was a cruetly case
I use to work for animal control back home.
I have a big problem with Chance eating his food to fast, he just gulps it down he dosnt chew it he swallows it. Chance was very abused. It was a 115 degrees that day. Humdity about 100% so it was hot. He had no water, food, shelter, and no shade trees, he was in a 4ft x 4ft
pen, and in hot sand, his pads were wore down he was beaten, he had little hair, I am takeing Chance to be a pet therapy dog for special needs children, he is going thru alot of schooling, My question is how can I make him slow down on his food. This is the only thing that is stopping me for him being a pet therapy dog. cause he wont turn food down. He is a wonderful black lab very caring, Is there any Ideals that I can do Please help Thank You for your time.

The best way to prevent a dog from eating too fast is too feed several small meals a day. The ekg looks similiar to humans. Good luck
