My 13 year old cat is on a low residue dry food that he does not like very much - he refuses to eat for two days at a time. He begs all the time. His bloodwork is fine. Is there anything else he can have - maybe just as a treat? At his age, I hate to see him not eat.
Ask your vet about another type of food such as science diet w/d. Other modes of treatment include corticosteroids, sulfasalazine (antibiotic) and omega-3 fatty acids. Lymphocytic-plasmacytic colitis is usually managed with dietary therapy alone. Good luck, vetcare
