Have 1 yr old rough coat Jack Russel. At about 3 months old, his skin turned very pink in blotchy areas. It has gotten worse, has a big bald spot on side size of a saucer. Crusty scabs on his head. Had him tested for mange(sp) twice. Changed food per vet several times. Vet has NO IDEA what this is or what it could be. Wants to do hundreds of $$ worth of allergy tests. Our poor little Jack looks like a mutt from the pound, not a purebred. Any ideas?? Appreciate your help.
I recommend that you see a veterinary dermatologist. This can be an allergy of some sort. It could also be a pyoderma (skin infection), or demodex (skin mite). Good luck, vetcare
