My dog had emergency surgery to remove her spleen and a baseball size growth attached to it. The pathology results indicate hemangiosarcoma. Her lungs and liver are perfect. I've been told there is very little they can do. What are the implications of this and are there any studies being done or suggestions on how we can prolong her life?
Removal of the spleen in this case is the treatment of choice. You did everything that can be done. good luck, vetcare
