I have a 1 year old Chihuahua, approximately 5 pounds. We got her when she was six months old. She barks at everything and will not shut up. We have used the rocks in a can and a spray bottle. What can we do about the barking. She does not like anything in anyones hands, she goes nuts and starts growling and biting. You cannot play with her, because she gets too aggressive and bites until you bleed. You cannot take anything away from her, because once again she will bite. We have tried putting her in a kennel when she bites and will not settle down. So long as she is not provoked in any way, she is a very loving dog and enjoys sitting on your lap and being cuddled. I am seriously considering putting her to sleep. My household is made up of myself (35 year old female), my daughter (11 years old) and my mother (55 years old). No my daughter does not tease Cricket, she is afraid of Cricket. My daughter has raised baby birds, kittens and puppies from birth until full grown. Help me.
First you need a professional trainer not a veterinarian and you should also consider buying her a barking collar. This gives off a small shock when your pet barks. Good luck, vetcare
