I want to purchase heartworm pills, but I guess I have to have a perscription? I took my dog to the vet 5 months ago and he is not due for a check up for another 6 months, so now I will need more heartworm for him, how do I go about getting a perscription without paying a Vet the doctors visit? Why do you have to have a perscription?
Heartguard is a precription medication not sold over the counter. You do need a rx but our pharmacist can call your vet or you can just call your vet for a rx just as you do for a refill with your own dr. Good luck, vetcare
