Adopted Joey from a neighbor going into a nursing home. He apparently developed his condition while in a kennel.
Constant nasal exudate. Test for bacterial infection. Neg. Gentamicin nose drops stopped symptoms for about 3 weeks. After 4 house calls. and several hundred dollars no refill without a house call??
Now he has developed a cough with the sounds of congestion. Love Joey, but as a retired 78yr old. apparently I can't afford to help this beautiful otherwise healthy intelligent cat. HELP! He is about 7yrs old. MY other cats lived 18 and 20 yrs.
Try a drop of afrin in each nostril daily. This will help with the congestion. There is not much more I can do over the internet. A sinus infection can be difficult to treat at times and sometimes it needs long term antibiotics. I hope you vet will understand your situation. vetcare
