My 3 yr. old kitty has developed scaly patches on her lower back and tail. I noticed she was licking those areas to the point that the hair is gone in small patches, which is when I noticed the scaling. She begs me to scratch her lightly, so it must be difficult for her to reach/scratch adequately.
Interestingly, I have just developed (at 55) atypical eczema with which I am struggling. Could she have sympathetic eczema? Suggestions?
The fact that you have eczema is probably not related to your cat condition. You should have your pet examined by a vet. She may have a fungal infection, mites, bacterial infection, an allergy or a behavioral problem. Your vet will probably want to run some tests. Good luck, vetcare
