For the past few days, my 16-month-old cat's lower lip has been swollen. He doesn't seem to have overt tenderness in the area. The swelling has a few white-ish marks on it. Does this sound like an allergic reaction (bug bite) or a bacterial/viral infection? He is a house cat who never goes outside (coyote's roam my neighborhood). He's up to date on all shots, and his behavior is normal.
Your pet could have all that you mentioned or it could be a eosinophilic granuloma. This is usually treated with a steroid. A vet should look at your pet for a accurate diagnosis. good luck, vetcare
