I have two male dogs, the one is 4 years old (collie-shipdog) and the other is 3 years old (pit-bull / griffon). They used to treat very nice and friendly between them. Until that time their relationship was very friendly. They were playing, eatting together etc. Since 6months a female dog is also part of the family. She is a puppy 6 months years old (pit-bull). The youngest dog felt very jealous about her, because we replace him from the house to the garden to place her. He once bited her badly. The bigger one smelled her, he plays with her, he is sexual attracted by her except from sometimes that she tires him with the playing. The problem is that he stopped being friendly with the other male, and he bites him constantly. I know it' s because of the female, but what can i do to make them the old good friends? And should i always worry that the young mame will always feel jealous with the female?
I recommend that you spay and neuter all your pets, otherwise the problem will get worse. You have a problem with dominance. You have to treat the dominant dog as though he is the dominant dog. ( pet more frequently, allow in and out first, feed first, give more treats, etc.. etc.. ) If you do not do this then the dominant dog will attack the other dogs too show dominance. vetcare
