I have a stray cat I adopted (not sure of age) and she developed a flea allergy. I have had her to a vet to confirm this. The problem is I put her on advantage and the problem persisted. I thought I was not getting it on her properly so I went to Program oral suspension and it does not seem to help either. I have 3 other cats the products seem to work on. The poor thing constantly scratches(I bath her from time to time to give her relief). I do not know if there is anything else I can get for her that will work any better or should I take her back to the vet?
She may need a cortisone shot to help with the itch. It just takes one flea to cause a big problem with animals that are allergic to fleas. I recommend that you start the advantge every 2 weeks. It is ok to use every 2 weeks. vetcare
