We are a mini humane society for cats, not by choice. We have an outbreak of fungus. How should we treat the cats that have it and prevent the other from getting it. We have over 120 cats and some seem to be immune to the fungus even though they have come in contact. We are using topical Lotrimin and Fulvicin, can you recommend what dosages should we administer. Starting with a kitten 1#8 oz to a full grown cat weighing 15lbs.
The cats that are infected should be separated from the healthy cats. The people who treat the infected cats need to wash their hands after treating. I recommend antifungal shampoo such as Ketochlor made by virbac. I like miconazole ointment 2 x daily. The dose of fulvicin varies greatly depending on the mg you are using. It would be best to talk to your vet about that. vetcare
